Student Recruitment Marketing Officer Salary: 23,099-26,235 p.a. (incl LWA) Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is redefining the conservatoire for the 21st century - building on the heritage of Trinity College of Music and Laban, centre of contemporary dance. A key member of the team, the ideal candidate will have experience in marketing higher education, creating quality advertising and publicity materials for a range of programmes. The role is vital to the implementation of Trinity Laban s future focused International Student Recruitment Strategy. The Student Recruitment Marketing Officer will work closely with the Student Recruitment Marketing Manager and the Registry team, to help maximise UK and international recruitment for the higher education and training courses at both Trinity College of Music and Laban. You will develop external networks and contacts appropriate to the role whilst contributing to the process of collecting and analysing market intelligence and helping to produce regular reports on the UK and international markets. You must have professional marketing experience, preferably in a similar role, a knowledge of the education and arts sectors and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. JOB DESCRIPTION Post: Department: Responsible to: Student Recruitment Marketing Officer Marketing and Communications Student Recruitment Manager Salary Grade: 5 OBJECTIVES: Help maximise UK and international recruitment for the higher education and training courses at Trinity Laban. Provide efficient marketing support for student recruitment initiatives. Maximise student intake, attracting the best candidates for all courses offered by Trinity College of Music and Laban, including exchange programmes, summer schools and other events. Help expand and enhance the effectiveness of Trinity Laban s international recruitment strategy. MAIN DUTIES: STRATEGIC PLAN 1. Contribute to Trinity Laban s new recruitment marketing strategy, working closely with the Student Recruitment Manager and the Head of Marketing and Communications. 2. Help deliver the objectives of the Trinity Laban student recruitment marketing strategy: to maximise revenue from the student intake for both Trinity College of Music and Laban, and help to enhance international student recruitment. 3. Monitor progress and help to produce an annual update of the Recruitment Marketing Strategy. INTERNATIONAL NETWORK DEVELOPMENT 4. Assist in the development and identification of external networks, collaborations and contacts. 5. Provide marketing support for ERASMUS exchange programmes, utilising the programmes opportunities for recruitment. 6. Assist with the development of Trinity Laban s relationships with relevant national and international bodies, and recruitment agencies as potential recipients of relevant marketing materials, in particular the prospectus.
MARKET INTELLIGENCE 7. Contribute to the process of collecting and analysing market intelligence and assist with regular reports on the UK and international markets. 8. Help develop the programme of market research and promotional activity utilising Trinity Laban s student body and alumni. MARKETING PLANS 9. Devise and implement student recruitment plans for all Trinity College of Music and Laban courses and programmes, including exchange programmes, summer schools and other events as appropriate. 10. Assist with student recruitment marketing plans for specific overseas markets. 11. Help to ensure that student marketing plans are tailored to the disciplines and markets specifically relevant to Trinity College of Music and Laban, and also seek synergies where the Trinity Laban brand can be represented. 12. Manage the Trinity Laban recruitment advertising schedule for the UK, EU and overseas markets. 13. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Department s recruitment database and mailing lists. 14. Oversee the publication and distribution of recruitment related marketing materials, including the prospectuses for Trinity and Laban. 15. Attend and represent Trinity Laban and its constituent colleges at appropriate recruitment events. 16. Oversee and ensure timely delivery of design for all audition and recruitment advertising. 17. Monitor the success of activities within areas of responsibility, gathering the results to inform future activities through rigorous evaluation COLLABORATIVE INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS 18. Work with the Trinity Laban Public Relations Team to develop integrated promotional campaigns which will develop a coherent and consistent approach to building Trinity Laban s reputation, particularly in key overseas markets. 19. Develop harmonious working relationships with the Academic Faculties of both Trinity College of Music and Laban; understand their marketing and promotional needs, and identify, and advise on, promotional opportunities. 20. In collaboration with Registry and other departments, contribute to the success of recruitment activities such as open days, visit days and masterclasse. 21. Liaise with the Development Team to ensure that international and British alumni are provided with information about further study and other opportunities, and assist in building a strong alumni network which supports future recruitment. 22. Working with the Student Recruitment Marketing Manager and the Creative Team, enhance the quality of the Trinity Laban web experience for all potential students. Ensure all information regarding recruitment and admissions on the web is accurate.
CRM SYSTEMS 23. Make sure that all student-related enquiries receive a professional and efficient reply. 24. Help to establish systems collating and analysing enquiries and applications and competitor and other market data in order to inform strategic planning. CORPORATE POLICY 25. Be familiar with and operate under all rules and regulations pertaining to Trinity Laban, including those relating to health and safety. LINE MANAGEMENT REPORTING 26. Contribute to the development of the recruitment strategy. Assist with the evaluation of recruitment audit and forecasting. 27. Deputise when necessary for the Student Recruitment Manager. 28. Undertake any other reasonable duties to further the efficient organisation of the Marketing and Communications Department as required by the Student Recruitment Manager and the Head of Marketing and Communications. 29. An eye for detail, IT, writing and excellent organisational skills are all essential to this role. You may occasionally be required to work outside normal working hours.

STUDENT RECRUITMENT MARKETING OFFICER CONDITIONS OF SERVICE SUMMARY Contract: Permanent, Full-Time. Salary Scale: Trinity Laban Staff Salary Scale, Grade 5 Incremental Points 16 21, 23,099-26,235 p.a., inclusive of a London Weighting Allowance of 3,356 p.a. Salaries are paid on the 25 th of each month direct into bank or building society accounts. Hours: Location: Annual Leave: Pension Scheme: Sick Pay: Car Parking: Cafeteria: Events: 35 hours per week, normally 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will be based at the Laban site and will visit other local sites as required. 25 days, pro-rata, in addition to Statutory, Bank and Public Holidays. The successful candidate will be eligible to join the Universities Superannuation Scheme. Employees contribute at the rate of 6.35% of the pensionable salary. The College pays the Employers contribution currently at the rate of 16% of pensionable salary. Trinity Laban operates the Statutory Sick Pay Scheme, and staff may be eligible for benefits in excess of this under Trinity Laban s own sick pay scheme. A limited number of parking spaces are available at both sites, subject to availability. Our Cafeterias/Licensed Bars at both sites serve a range of hot and cold drinks snacks.
