1 Cambridge Judge Business School Further Particulars JOB TITLE: REPORTS TO: HEAD OF MBA CAREER DEVELOPMENT HEAD OF CAREERS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Background The 12-month Cambridge MBA is the flagship degree programme and one of the main revenue contributors for Cambridge Judge Business School; it's the primary means by which the School has been able to grow and establish its reputation and brand. The Cambridge MBA is a highly selective programme; students are admitted based on strong academic qualifications, high quality prior professional experience and their potential for making a significant contribution and an impact in their chosen post-mba career. The students are an internationally diverse group of highly motivated, high achieving professionals, with high expectations as to their post-mba careers outcome. The current class of 141 students includes 44 nationalities, with an average of 7.2 years of work experience. CAREERS SERVICE The MBA Careers Service is a vitally important part of the Cambridge MBA, providing guidance and support to students to enable them to achieve their career goals, and connecting students with employers and employment opportunities. The quality of an MBA programme's Careers Service, both student provision and employment outcomes, is a key input to candidates' choice of programme, and therefore has a direct impact on CJBS's ability to attract top students to the Cambridge MBA. In addition, student satisfaction with the Careers Service and the quality and progression of career outcomes are significant contributors to the international MBA programme rankings methodology; these rankings are also an important input to student choice of Business School. The Careers Service has two main areas of responsibility: student provision (careers information and advisory, skills development, and job search guidance and support) and employer relations (development and management of relationships with employers and delivery of recruitment services).
