We have developed an enviable portfolio of corporate supporters in recent years, with a strong record in winning and managing Charity of the Year campaigns, developing sponsorship opportunities and raising the awareness of the hospice movement through national initiatives. This is an exciting time for our corporate partnerships moving forward and this role will play a key part in this by building and maintaining existing relationships and developing a pipeline of well researched new prospects. Job description Purpose of role Working closely with the fundraising team and other colleagues, the post holder will be required to carry out research and actions necessary to build relationships and identify and develop new partnership prospects with the corporate sector and other new business opportunities. There will be a strong focus on Charity of the Year partnerships, media appeals, cause related marketing initiatives and developing longer-term sustainable partnerships. Key tasks and responsibilities This role will contribute to the development and delivery of a new business strategy through the development of a planned, prioritised and well researched approach to new business. The overall aim being to contribute to the diversification of our funders portfolio with a focus on long term sustainable partnerships and new income generation opportunities Build the pipeline of well researched prospects including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, CRM and media partnerships Lead the development of a timetable contact plan for approaches Build and maintain relationships with previous partners to foster future opportunities including those with Corporate Social Responsibility consultancies and bodies such as CAF and BITC Work with the Head of xecutive Office and New Business and others as appropriate to draft strong, emotive, tailored and compelling proposals, initiate meetings and support others to develop and deliver winning pitches and presentations. nsure a thorough and effective hand over to colleagues for optimum account management and the development of identified income generation opportunities. Help ensure the effective utilisation of all communications and networks across fundraising and the charity to help maximise any new business opportunities. The post holder will be expected to attend and support fundraising events and activities as part of the fundraising department that maybe outside the direct responsibilities of this role. Knowledge of the principles surrounding corporate income generating activities including a good understanding of the trends in the market around corporate partnerships and other areas related to the development of new business income generation. An understanding of the sensitivities of all stakeholders involved in securing and maintaining corporate partnerships and new business. A creative approach and a good understanding of how to nurture and build appropriate - commercial relationships. To possess, or to have the motivation to quickly develop, a thorough knowledge of the work of Hospice UK and the hospice movement and be able to apply this appropriately for the role. Circa 30,000 per annum. The probationary period is six months. One month. Full time, 35 hours per week. You will be auto enrolled into our pension scheme which is at 4%. Further contributions can be made to the scheme and Hospice UK will match contributions of up to 7% of your gross salary. Is provided upon start date at three times salary, subject to acceptance by our insurers. A cash plan scheme, which provides payments towards everyday healthcare treatments for example dental, optical etc. up to a policy limit. All employees will be covered under level two of the scheme. We offer childcare vouchers. Loaning of a cycle via a salary sacrifice scheme. An interest free loan is provided. 25 days per year, increasing to 30 days with service.
