Experience the National Landscape of Finland - Koli Friday 6th of March, from 9 am Front of the Carelicum (in the Joensuu City Center), Koskikatu 5 Departure in the morning from Joensuu to Koli National Park (50 minutes drive). Snowshoe hike starts from front of the visitor center Ukko. After equipment sharing and a short technical introduction starts guided climbing to the breathtaking winter sceneries of Koli hills. Walking with the snowshoes is easy and fun and it fits to everybody! Tour ends in front of the visitor center Ukko. Duration approx. 1.5 h. After the Snowshoe trip dining at Sokos Hotel Koli Grill-it restaurant and time to visit in the Koli Relax Spa. Duration: The price: Price incl. The Real Finnish Ice Swimming Tuesday 10th of March, from 5 pm Front of the Carelicum (in the Joensuu City Center), Koskikatu 5 Experience the Finnish way to enjoy the winter! The shuttle bus from Joensuu city center to the Joensuu Polar Bears sauna area. First visit the Finnish sauna and after that it s time to do the Ice Swimming. Duration approx.: The price incl. 3 hours 18 euros / person. Minimum 20 persons Bus transportation, sauna, towel and ice swimming. Please bring along your own swimming suit and a 1 euro coint for the shower. Tuesday 10th of March Linnunlahti Special (snowmobile safari) Thursday 12th of March Thursday 12th of March, from 10 am Kontiolahti or a meeting point near by the City of Joensuu Explore the thrill of driving a snowmobile through snowy forests and over frozen Pyhäselkä lake. Driving distance is 40 km. The trip is suitable also for beginners. The driver of a snowmobile must hold a valid driving licence. Joensuu is the biggest city in North Karelia with 74 005 inhabitants (2013-05-31). Province s other cities are Kitee, Lieksa, Nurmes and Outokumpu. In addition to these North Karelia consists of eight other municipalities: Ilomantsi, Juuka, Kontiolahti, Liperi, Polvijärvi, Rääkkylä, Tohmajärvi and Valtimo.
