Invitation! Dear Colleagues It is our pleasure to invite you to the 7th International Conference on Children's Bone Health, to be held 27-30 June 2015 in the beautiful Austrian city of Salzburg. This Conference will bring together scientists and clinicians from a wide range of disciplines to gain a better understanding of the growing skeleton in health and disease. The scope ranges from basic molecular mechanisms to clinical aspects, from bone physiopathology to treatment. We invite anyone with an interest in bone metabolism and bone mass in children, adolescents and young adults to attend. The 2013 meeting held in Rotterdam was attended by over 300 delegates from over 45 countries, making it truly multinational and multidisciplinary a unique networking opportunity. The scientific programme is designed to present researchers, physicians, and allied health professionals with the newest research, with sessions including plenary lectures by world-leading experts, symposia, workshops, meet the expert sessions, oral communications and poster sesssions. The Conference will offer investigators from around the world an opportunity to meet with each other and with industry representatives. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion both in and outside the lecture theatre and we actively encourage you to submit your abstracts for oral and poster presentation. Our priority is to maximise the time available for presentation of submitted abstracts. We are proud to hold this conference in one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. Famous as the birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg is well known for its romantic scenery and rich cultural heritage. Situated in Central Europe, the city is easily accessible from every corner of the globe through the major European transportation hubs. The conference will be held in the Salzburg Congress Center, a versatile, modern and spacious venue, perfect in size and location for ICCBH. ICCBH is your opportunity to hear about and discuss the newest developments in our understanding of paediatric bone health. Scientific Programme The aim of this Conference is to bring together scientists and clinicians from a wide range of disciplines and from across the globe to gain a better understanding of the growing skeleton in health and disease. The scope ranges from basic molecular mechanisms to clinical aspects, from bone physiopathology to treatment. Attendees will have an interest in rare and inherited bone disorders, general aspects of bone metabolism and bone mass in children, adolescents and young adults. SYMPOSIA TO INCLUDE: What are bones made of? Novel bone assessment tools: 1. The organ level 2. The tissue level Monogenic forms of osteoporosis Advances in orthopaedic surgery New drug targets Skeletal dysplasia Sclerosing bone disorders Managing secondary osteoporosis Muscle-bone relationship in health and disease In addition, there will be a number of Meet the Expert, Networking and Satellite sessions. Key topics TOPICS ARE EXPECTED TO INCLUDE: Bone development Bone fragility and metabolism New bone diagnostics Epidemiology Bone health in chronic and rare diseases Novel drug targets and medical therapies Nutrition and rickets Physical activity Abstracts on these and other topics are invited. There will be plenty of time on the programme for oral communications from the submitted abstracts, and for dedicated poster viewing sessions, and we encourage you to submit your work. Learning Objectives On completion of the conference programme, the participant will enhance their understanding of a contemporary approach to clinical and basic paediatric bone science as related to: Inherited and acquired bone disorders Effects of chronic illness on muscle and bone Bone therapeutics Bone diagnostics Bone signalling and metabolism

Please use the on-line form accessible on the meeting website at www.iccbh.org. Submitted abstracts will be selected for oral and poster presentation and authors will be notified in March 2015. The final programme will be available on the conference website from March 2015. Deadline for abstracts and clinical cases: Friday 6 February 2015. VENUE Internationally famous as the birthplace of Mozart, the beautiful city of Salzburg lies within the mountains of Austria close to the border with Germany. Salzburg s old town is one of the best-preserved city centres in Europe and is deservedly listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its compact size and ease of access make it a perfect conference destination. Accommodation There is a wide variety of hotel accommodation available in Salzburg within a short walking distance of the Salzburg Congress Center. A number of hotels offer a discount for delegates attending the meeting. There is a list and map showing hotel locations and prices on the conference website. Travel information Because of its central location in mainland Europe, Salzburg can be reached easily by air, train or car. By plane Salzburg's W A Mozart Airport is on the outskirts of the city only four kilometers from the city centre. There are direct flights from many European cities, including Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Hamburg, Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt, Leipzig-Halle, Amsterdam, Vienna, Paris, London, Manchester, Stockholm, and Zurich. Travellers from outside Europe will find transfers through Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Vienna, Istanbul and other European hubs. There are also regular train services from Munich and Vienna airports. By train The Salzburg Congress Center is a 10 minute walk from the main railway station, which has connections from across Europe. By car The city is easily accessible by car, and is connected by motorway with Vienna and Munich.
