Functions & Events @ Rivers About Rivers is the perfect, unique place to celebrate your special function or event. We have two stunning venues to offer, suiting small boutique day time functions and larger day and evening functions. The Gallery is a stunning stand alone day time and evening venue. It features 30 ft exposed Tallowood eucalyptus posts in a rustic architecturally designed building with a modern twist. By day it accentuates an airy natural light including lakeside views and by night, a striking atmosphere with feature lights as well as the flood lit terrace. It caters for 40 to 150 guests, depending on the style of function chosen. Café Upstairs is purely a day time venue and as the name suggests, is located upstairs from our main day time café. It is a smaller humble and more intimate venue that boasts a seductive and elegant mood with its dark tones and smart fit out. It caters for 20-50 guests which also depends of the style of function chosen. We offer a wide range of packages in order to cater for a range of styles and budgets. By day we offer breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, as well as a variety of lunch options. By night we offer relaxed finger food functions, gorgeous buffets, shared tables menus, casual terrace Bbq and lovely sit down two and three course dinners. For something that little bit different, we offer Themed Party/Event packages providing a real point of difference. Each theme includes styling, entertainment and options of food & beverages to match. From Casino Royale to a Murder Mystery or Spanish Fiesta Party, our Themed packages are completely unique, fun and will have your guests taking part and getting into the swing of things! The full details are listed in a separate Beverage Information Pack. Dietary/Allergies We proudly accommodate for a range of diets and allergies in all of our packages. This includes Gluten Free, Pescatarian, Vegetarian & Vegan diets. Note that the menu or food solutions for each diet differs depending on which package you choose. As people s diets and the definitions that each one entails vary, we have additional information along with a dietary form for you to complete and return to us prior to your function. It is important to us that we have everything perfect for you and your guests. Whilst we endeavor to assist in helping cater for a range of needs, not all requests can be catered for. Please prompt your guests to advise you for dietary or allergy advice when sending invitations. Please note that all requests must be finalised no later than 7 days prior to your function. Styling, Music & AV For the styling of your function we offer a fabulous range of options to choose from, available to view in our additional Functions & Events Styling Guide. You are able to connect into our audio equipment and sound system by providing your own IPOD with preloaded music playlists. You can organise your own music or entertainment whereby prior approval is required. Alternatively, casual background music can be supplied for your convenience. Our Friendly Team Our professional Functions and Events coordinator is here to help you every step of the way. The fine service provided by our team is matched with a friendly smile that will not go unnoticed as we strive to ensure that you and your guests are taken care of in every way possible.

Day Function Packages Breakfast/Brunch Shared Table Breakfast (Served in The Gallery & Café Upstairs) This delightful package is a great way of getting together and enjoying breakfast casually without having to queue up at a main Buffet. We serve your Breakfast smorgasbord on platters to the centre of each table which includes; Individual Bircher Muesli Trifles, Gourmet Brekkie buns, home baked banana bread, hand cut fruits and fresh juice bottles. You can also include additional dishes if you would like to make your menu more substantial. Tea and coffee is included. Lunch Two Course Luncheon (Served in The Gallery & Café Upstairs) We have a lovely selection of main courses and desserts for you to choose for your Luncheon. Two main meals and desserts are chosen prior to the day which are served on an alternating basis to your guests. There are also additional share platters that can be added for a starter/entree or even as a side to your main meals. The Eco Terrace BBQ (Served in the Gallery) This function is designed to be a very easygoing relaxed dinner on the lakeside Terrace without any formal seating arrangements. The theatre of our chefs as they cook amongst your guests adds a great element to the day. The main BBQ meal is served with eco plates and cutlery outside where your guests can mingle and eat casually inside or out ulitising the casual seating, couches, dry bars and chairs. We then serve a selection of roving mini desserts. The Tuscan Celebration Buffet (Served in the Gallery) The Tuscan is a substantial package that comprises of a delicious Antipasto Sharing Board served to each table at the same time the main course buffet is being served. The food is Italian inspired with main Meat, seafood and Pasta dishes served with salads and gourmet breads. Dessert is then served into the centre of each table followed by tea, coffee & almond bread. Afternoon Tea Tea Party (Served in Café Upstairs) This lovely tea party is an elegant, yet simple informal sit down function, perfect for smaller groups and celebrations. Each table is served with shared table platters for guests to help themselves in a true tea party style! Tea and coffee is served to the table. Afternoon Tea Buffet (Served in The Gallery) We serve a delectable range of sweet and savoury finger foods & petit fours on a lovely buffet table, allowing guests to mingle casually and help themselves over this three hour stand up function. There are couches and pods available for guests who may wish to sit down. Tea and coffee is included. Afternoon Tea Shared Table (Served in The Gallery) We serve a glass of sparkling on arrival for this full table service sit down afternoon tea. The menu includes a delicious selection of sweet and savoury foods which are plattered and served centrally to each table for guests to help themselves. Tea and coffee is also served to the table.

Evening Function Packages Evening/Dinner (All served in The Gallery) Grazing Finger food/cocktail Our grazing finger food package offers menus to cater for parties and occasions with varying budgets and needs. The three menus are set so items cannot be swapped around, however you can add any item onto your chosen menu. We also offer a selection of savoury platters as well as sweet finger foods, a great way of adding variety. *Also available in The Gallery for Lunch & Afternoon Functions The Eco Terrace BBQ This function is designed to be a very easygoing relaxed dinner on the lakeside Terrace without any formal seating arrangements. Your guests can help themselves to a range of dishes to their personal liking with convenience and ease. Our stunning dessert board will be sure to impress along with a beautiful cheeseboard and lavoche followed by Tea and coffee. The Tuscan Celebration Buffet The Tuscan package is a substantial dinner that comprises of a delicious Antipasto Sharing Board served to each table at the same time the main course buffet is being served. Terms & Conditions Final Payment, Cancellation or Alterations Final payment and confirmation of guest numbers is required no later than 7 days prior to your function date. In the unfortunate event of a cancellation prior to your final payment, we require written notice directly to our Functions Manager. Please note that your booking deposit is non refundable. If your final payment has been made no refunds will be made. In the unforeseeable circumstance where a function may need to be rescheduled or type of function altered, we require written notice directly to our Functions Manager. We will then confirm whether this request can be made. If a booking needs to be rescheduled, it needs to be made within 6 months of the original booking date. Note that an increase in prices or changes in menus may apply. Deposit /Security Bond A booking deposit of $500 is required in order to secure your function date. This deposit is then used as a security bond for your function. In the event that damages occur or the function exceeds the completion time, this bond will be used. Should the bond not be required, it will be refunded into your nominated bank account within 5 business days after your function. Function Extensions The length of functions vary depending on the specific package chosen. Function extensions are available in consultation with the Functions Manager prior to your date. Please note that the latest a function can finish is by 12am. The rate is $250 per additional hour. In the event that your function exceeds the designated finish time, additional charges automatically apply and is deducted from your security bond. The rate is $180 per half an hour. Alcohol Service & Security Rivers is a licensed premises until 11pm and are unable to permit guests to provide their own beverages. Staff have the right to confiscate any alcohol bought onto the premises they feel is intended for consumption. Rivers adheres to responsible service of alcohol and has the right to deny alcoholic beverage service to guests deemed to be intoxicated or underage. All evening functions that are non seated require security. This includes Finger food Graze and The Eco Terrace BBQ function. This is for the safety of you and your guests during and at the end of your function. The cost is $180 and is added to your function account. Dietary/Allergies It is your responsibility to inform us of any dietary requests or allergies that your guests may have. We require the Special Dietary Request Form to be filled out and submitted no later than 7 days prior to your function. In the event that we are not advised and additional food needs to be prepared, additional costs will apply and will be deducted from your security deposit. Audio, Lighting & Equipment, All Rivers equipment including audio, lighting and air conditioning is to be operated by Rivers staff only. Rivers will constantly monitor the appropriate needs and level of sound in the music played if you are using our system. If you wish to outsource other audio, lighting or equipment, this needs to be approved prior to your function and the contact details of the company is required. Decorations Additional decorations other than what has been organized through Rivers requires prior consultation and approval. Any decorations which may damage the property in any way are prohibited. We are more than happy for rose petals and bubbles to be used for the celebration of Weddings and functions. Please note that we do not allow the use of confetti, rice or glitter. In the event that this occurs, a cleaning fee of $150 applies and will be deducted from your security bond. Damages As the organizer of this function or event, you are responsible for both you and your guests. You are liable for any damages sustained to any of our fittings, property or equipment and in the unfortunate event that this occurs, monies will be determined and deducted from your security deposit.
