Please make your hotel arrangements as soon as possible! The negotiated host hotel room rate for this year's meeting has been guaranteed for attendees at $129 a night, plus tax, single or double occupancy; however, rates may vary for additional adults. Reservations may be made by calling the hotel s Reservations Department at 800-325-3535, and identifying yourself as being with the USGA-GHIN group. The hotel has a complementary shuttle to and from the airport for those flying in for the meeting. The shuttle can also be used to connect you to trains into New York City. For those driving and staying at the hotel, there will be a discounted parking rate of $5 a night. You must make your reservations prior to October 10, 2011, after which time they will be honored on a space and rate availability basis only. The area is served by the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) which is about 3 Miles (10 minutes) to the South of the hotel and is serviced by all major airlines and rental car companies. This year there will be two optional sessions for those interested in an introduction or refresher course in the GHIN Handicap Program Version 5 and/or TPP Version 4. The Opening General Session will then be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., followed immediately by the Welcome Cocktail Reception for all GHIN Users' Meeting attendees and their guests.

The deadline for registration is Monday, October 10, 2011. If you would like to get the breakout schedule or any other meeting information in a format for printing, they will be posted to the GHIN Blog (www.ghinblog.com). We will confirm your appointment following the close of registration during the week of October 10, 2011. This year, the USGA IT Department will be conducting a breakout session to give an overview of the CRM (customer relationship management) offering to State and Regional Golf Associations on Thursday afternoon. In addition, for those golf associations that already utilize CRM, there will be a CRM Users Meeting on Wednesday afternoon at the Sheraton Newark Airport. The USGA has arranged to hold the USGA Handicap System Centennial Celebration dinner on Thursday evening of our GHIN Users Meeting. S E S S I O N D E S C R I P T I O N S Introduction / Refresher Sessions GHIN Handicap Program (GHP ) Version 5 (Wed. 10 a.m.) Though intended as an introductory class, all are welcome to attend. This session will cover all major topics of the operation of the GHIN Handicap Program (Version 05) from installing and configuring the software to creating custom reports, and everything in between. Tournament Pairing Program (TPP ) Version 4 (Wed. 1 p.m.) Though intended as an introductory class, all are welcome to attend. This class will cover a complete run through of how to run various types of Tournaments using the Tournament Pairing Program Version 4. Features highlighted will be Tournament setup, creating pairings/teams/flights, printing scorecards, and scoring the tournament. In addition to the above features, the plug-ins structure will be demonstrated highlighting its functionality. Break Out Sessions Data Extraction & Analysis Using D O D and Web Reports (Thurs. 11 a.m., 3:30 p.m. & Fri. 11 a.m.) This session will demonstrate using the GHIN Data on Demand reporting tool to analyze your association data. Demonstrations include an overview of the Shared Reports as well as how to create and modify Personal reports for your association. Come see the Business Intelligence Model and what it can do for you. Using the GHIN Web Reports to analyze your association data as well as how to schedule reports to run automatically will also be covered in this session. GHIN enewsletter Manager (Thurs. 9:45 a.m. & Fri. 8:30 a.m.) Come see and learn how to use this dynamic web tool that was designed to help associations improve your service offering. This class will detail the process of creating custom enewsletter templates to deliver your latest association news and information along with the latest erevision information directly to your members each revision GHP Online Association, Club Level Access and NCRDB Integration (Thurs. 8:30 a.m., 1 p.m. & Fri. 9:45 a.m.) This session will cover the operation and functionality of the GHP Online Association Level access as well as an overview of the new GHP Online Club Level Access and how the products will integrate with the USGA CRP (NCRDB). Handicap Helper (Thurs. 11a.m & Fri. 8:30 a.m.) Led by a member of the USGA Handicap Department, this class will cover the new changes in the 2012-2015 USGA Handicap System.
The New eclubhouse and egolfer Web Applications (Thurs. 8:30 a.m., 2:15 p.m. & Fri. 9:45 a.m.) Attendees will learn how to use the new eclubhouse Web Service, including the migration of data and new features. An Overview of the egolfer Web Service will also be presented. Open Forum with the GHIN Management Team (Thurs. 11 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.) This session will cover both current and future development being done on the various GHIN products and services. Attendees will also have the opportunity to address any issues or questions they have about the GHIN Service or products with its Management Team, as well as any related topics. Report Designer and Distribution of Custom Reports (Thurs. 2:15 p.m. & Fri. 11 a.m.) Attendees will learn how to use the new Report Designer that is featured in the GHIN Handicap Program (Version 5) and the Tournament Pairing Program (Version 4). These features will allow Golf Associations to graduate to a higher level of service by providing them with tools to help their member clubs edit and design custom reports and scorecards. The ability for golf clubs to download additional reports and the distribution of Custom Reports by Golf Associations to their member clubs will be demonstrated. SRGA CRM Overview (Thurs. 1 p.m.) Led by a member of the USGA IT Department, this will be a demonstration of the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) developed by the USGA for state and regional golf associations, including the new Course Rating synchronization functionality. Additionally, we will discuss how new CRM associations can overcome the how to get started syndrome. It s a great product, in this session we ll talk realistically about how it can work for your association. TPP Online Administration and Registration (Thurs. 8:30 a.m., 1 p.m. & Fri. 9:45 a.m.) This class will give users an advanced look at the Registration process for the new TPP Online solution for tournament management. Attendees will be instructed on the following topics: Admin features such as assigning users, how to setup seasons & member program(s); how to customize registration messages and configure eligibility requirements for players, teams and flights/divisions; how to setup qualifiers and when to create a tournament to run your qualifiers; and will touch on the scoring setup configurations. TPP Online Points, Clubhouse Viewer and OnCourse (Thurs. 9:45 a.m. & Fri. 8:30 a.m.) This class will give users an advanced look at many of the scoring and points functions using the TPP Online solution for tournament management. Attendees will be instructed on working with the style sheet editor, how to work with include files, managing your association s performance points and player of the year standings, and use of the NEW TPP Online Clubhouse Viewer. TPP Online Team Club Play (Thurs. 9:45 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.) Come see the NEW online Team Play Module. This class will demonstrate the functionality of the new Team Play module, including creating and setting up leagues, adding team captains, creating and setting up regions and divisions, creating the club roster, team play management and schedule, creating and submitting the weekly roster, and posting results.
