2 Invitation to User Conference We re delighted to invite you to Miranda s 2012 User Conference in Abu Dhabi. The event is aimed at customers, system integrators and dealers, and it s a great opportunity to learn about our latest solutions. It will focus on key issues for production studios, broadcasters and playout facilities. It is also for Miranda s business partners. Benefits of attendance Attendees will be offered an insight into Miranda s latest solutions, along with advice from product specialists about how to get the best from Miranda s systems and services. It is also a great opportunity to network with fellow users. The event is designed to be lively, interactive and enjoyable. Hands on experience There is also the opportunity to get hands on experience with Miranda s latest products. Attendees who would like to arrange one-to-one demonstrations with product specialists can arrange these in advance through their Miranda sales contact. Event format The event is comprised of multiple presentations with integrated demonstrations. The presentations will be in English. In between each presentation, there is a refreshment/demonstration break of 15 minutes. Entertainment To help create an enjoyable event for all attendees, there will be entertainment on the Wednesday evening. Registration Invited guests can attend the User Conference free of charge*, and this includes accommodation for two nights (Tuesday and Wednesday), all the meals provided during the event (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and all the entertainment provided. 5 Additional information Airport connections The closest airport to the hotel is Abu Dhabi International. Where to go on arrival on Tuesday (November 20 th ) When you arrive at the hotel, please check in at the reception to get your room keys (check-in from 3pm onwards). Where to go on Wednesday morning (November 21 st ) On Wednesday morning, please have breakfast in the restaurant Choices, which will be available from 6.00am onwards. The User Conference will start in the Pearl Ballroom at 10.00am. Group allocation You will be allocated into a group for the breakout sessions prior to the start of the event. Weather The weather in Abu Dhabi in November is usually warm, with an average high of 31 C and an average low of 19 C. What do I need to bring with me The event is informal in nature, and you do not need to bring anything to participate in the event. Internet access Wireless internet available in your hotel room. Can I bring my spouse? Yes, you can bring a spouse to share your room, and they can take advantage of the hotel s many facilities. Your spouse will be welcome to join the other attendees at the Wednesday evening entertainment. Check out on November 22 nd Please check out before 12pm on Thursday, November 22 nd (your luggage can be stored until departure).
