We will be pleased to meet you there Hunting/trekking in Finnmark Re-opening of Skaidi Hotel In June Skaidi Hotel re-opened after the hotel has been totally renovated. The hotel has 39 rooms and 2 suites. Some of the rooms have their own sauna. In the restaurant they focus on local food and there is also a cosy lobby bar where it s nice to relax after dinner. Hotel manager, Tove Høpner says the hotel is perfect for recreation. In the hotel they have two swimming pools one indoors, and one outdoor saltwater jacuzzi. There is also a sauna, a gym and a relax area. But it s not just the hotels facilities that invite you to recreate. The hotel is the perfect place to start your fishing trip in the Repparfjord River (salmon), hiking, cross country skiing, down hill skiing or to go on a snow mobile safari. Skaidi Hotel New accommodation in Alta Viking Šillju is a new type of accommodation in Alta for individuals and small groups. Situated in Rafsbotn close to Alta ski- and alpine centre, 15 minutes from Alta airport. For individuals there are three cabins, each with 2 bedrooms, tiled bathroom, kitchen and living room. Storgammen restaurant in Karasjok The sami theme based restaurant Storgammen in Karasjok opened again in June totally renovated. The restaurant has a capacity of 110 persons, everybody sitting around a cosy fireplace. And the food is based on local ingredients such as reindeer and trout/salmon. The restaurant is situated in the sami cultural park Sápmi, and here you can learn more about the sami culture. The hotel will have a modern design, with a local expression being expressed through themes such as midnight sun and northern lights. Winter 2007/8 Take part in the Winter Express Tour a three day excursion exploring Alta, North Cape, Karasjok and Kautokeino. Starts from Alta Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 th of January, and is available for individuals and groups.
