goes HOCKEY CUP 15 goes Sports welcomes all the participants of the 3 rd International Grass Hockey Tournament which will take place in Terrassa on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of January 2015. We would be very pleased to receive your application to participate in this tournament, and we hope it meets all your expectations. Everyone involved in the setting-up of the tournament would like to thank you in advance for your participation.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: Sports Facilities: Egara HC Fields: water pitch Dates: 3, 4 and 5 January 2015 (3 days) Categories: Boys U18 Num. Teams: 10 teams divided in two groups (A & B) Accommodation: Hotel 3 *** TOURNAMENT RULES: All the teams will play 5 matches in 3 days. The tournament has 2 zones A, B Every team will play against the other teams from the opposite zone. Every team will score points individually. The two teams that will score most points will play in the final. The two teams that will occupy 3rd and 4th position due to their score will play for the bronze medal. Match halves Every match will consist of two halves of 30 minutes each. There will be a half-time break of 5 minutes. Each team will have max. 18 players in a match. The official international field hockey rules will be used.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION Score For every won match you get 3 points. For every drawn match you get 1 point Draw in points In case of equal scores in the final classification, the definition will be the following: 1- The team that scores more will be better classified. 2- If they continue to be equal scoring, the team that concedes fewer goals will be better classified. 3- If they continue to be equal scoring, a draw will be carried out. The name of every team will be written on a piece of paper, all the pieces will be put in a bag and they will be taken out one by one. The first will occupy the first position, the second the second one and so on till the last name is taken out. A masterclass could be offered as an additional option to teams in order for players to develop high-performance skills and abilities used in hockey today at the top level. If there are specific skills that you would like to work on with your players, the coaches will design a class that concentrates on these areas, hopefully giving you, the teacher/coach, some new ideas and exercises you can use in future sessions / during the Tournament. OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES An additional option could be the use of the club s video analysis system. The club will provide an extra coach to film the players during a match. Then will review the videos with the players to evaluate how they have executed the skills and pinpoint areas of improvement.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES The players could use the pool facilities in the cub before or after a match. Time to relax those aching muscles!
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES For those accompanying the teams and/or the teams themselves, there is the option during the trip of organising a sightseeing tour of Barcelona. Don t miss the opportunity to wander through the old part of the City or visit the Olympic Museum or even the Barcelona FC Museum. Excursions can of course be adapted to the requirements of each Group /team.
