1 Ankara, Dear Modern Pentathlon Friends, March 17 th, 2015 Modern Pentathlon Federation of Turkey (LOC) has the pleasure of inviting delegations, from Modern Pentathlon Sports Clubs which are members of your Federation, to participate in the Open Modern Biathle/Pentathlon Turkish Cup & National Team Candidate Athletes Evaluation Competitions that will be held at Eryaman Olympic Sports Centre in Ankara on. LOCATION: The competition venue is in Eryaman, where all events will take place on one site, the Olympic Sports Centre. The delegations will stay in Hotels at the city centre of Ankara, the capital of Turkey. The Olympic Sports Centre is only 20 Km. away from the Hotel. 2 Ankara, 17 May :00 Breakfast 10:00 Running (Modern Biathle Categories only) Lunch Prize Ceremony RULES The competition will be carried out according to the UIPM Rules Swimming : 50m indoor pool (10 lanes) Running : Outdoors, tartan & grass Shooting : Laser (athletes must have own laser equipment and targets) Fencing : 4 Pistes (indoor) ACCOMMODATION Athletes will be accommodated in triple or twin rooms. Coaches will be accommodated in twin or single rooms. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS: Modern Pentathlon Federation of Turkey invites all Nations MP Clubs to participate as individual or team. There is no limit. The cost for each participating athlete/coach/official is 35 Euro per person per night. Delegations are required to make full payment at the accreditation desk on arrival. TRANSPORTATION: The price above includes full board accommodation, local transport, entry to the competition and transport to and from Ankara Esenboğa International Airport or Ankara Railway Main Station ONLY provided that the arrival information is provided in good time prior to arrival date. ENTRY FORMS: The Entry Form attached to this invitation must be completed and sent to address of Modern Pentathlon Federation of Turkey [email protected] for hotel reservation and information only, by May 14 th, EQUIPMENT CONTROL: The equipment control for fencing and combined run/shoot will take place 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the discipline. VISAS & VACCINATIONS Visiting nations should confirm visa and vaccination requirements for entry into Turkey prior travelling to the event. If you need further information about visas or vaccinations please contact your nearest Embassy or Consulate. INSURANCE: All members of the attending Delegations must insure themselves by a sufficient health, accident and liability insurance. LOC will not accept any responsibility financial or otherwise for loss, injury or illness of any Delegation member. By submitting the competition entry the National Federation confirms that all persons named on the entry are covered by such an insurance. FIREARMS Firearms licenses are not a legal requirement when bringing laser pistols into Turkey for competition purposes. We remind everyone to bring their targets and spare, new batteries for your laser barrels. GENERAL INFORMATION All athletes are kindly requested to wear their official club uniform at the competition. By entering this competition you agree to pay for any damage incurred as a result of your stay in the Hotel. We hope to see your delegation in Ankara, Turkey.
