Itinerary Key: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Drink Afternoon Tea Longer walks and steps may be involved on this day 1 Travel from the UK to Riva del Garda Meet your One Traveller representative and fellow travellers and board your direct flight to Verona. On arrival transfer to the Grand Hotel Riva for a seven-night stay on a half-board basis. This afternoon we enjoy afternoon tea then your Tour Manager will take you for a passagiata (a stroll) in your splendid resort. Evening: Welcome drinks reception followed by a three-course meal. 2 Southern shores of the lake A two-centre tour starting in Lazise; located on the Veronese shore, it has ancient origins. From here you will be taken to Sirmione for lunch and a wander. Set on a narrow promontory on the southern shore of Lake Garda, Sirmione has been prized for its strategic location and gentle enchantment since Roman times. You will then be taken to a

3 wine tasting (with antipasti) before returning to the hotel. Evening: dinner in the hotel. 3 Full day: Verona Sightseeing tour with a local guide by coach and on foot through one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, the home of Romeo and Juliet. A charming walk through the historic centre to see the most significant monuments, including the Arena, Juliet's balcony, the Scaliger Tombs, Piazza dei Signori, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Brà. The afternoon will be free at leisure in the city. 4 Venice Departing the hotel mid-morning, your coach will take you to Venice where you will sail by private boat to St.Mark s Square. Accompanied by a guide you will discover the historic centre, including the Basilica and the Bridge of Sighs. After four o clock the day trippers desert the city and you will feel almost like a local. Free time for an atmospheric walk through the illuminated city and a gondola ride through the canals (at extra cost) before an included dinner in a Venetian restaurant in the centre of the city. Evening: Dinner and a drink in Venice. 5 Free Day Free for you to enjoy the resort and hotel. For those wishing to be more active your Tour Manager will suggest some possibilities. Afternoon tea will be served in the hotel. 6 The Dolomites (Bolzano and Renon) This morning you will drive along the Adige River Valley to visit the old town centre of Bolzano, the capital of the region, which has a distinct Austrian style. From here you will visit the Renon Plateau (1100

4 metres above sea level and famous for its earth pyramids) and take an included cable car ride to Soprabolzano and a small train to the pyramids. On the return journey you will stop to taste Italian grappa (the fragrant grape-based spirit). 7 Boat trip around the northern shores of the lake A three-centre excursion starting at the lakeside in Riva where you will board our exclusive privately chartered boat and champagne cruise to the resort of Limone. As its name suggests it refers to the first lemon groves planted in Europe. It is a magical place, with old fishermen s houses, narrow winding streets and lemon groves dominating the shores. From here you will cruise across the lake for lunch at Malcesine, one of the most charming towns on Garda s eastern shore, with its olive groves and sage-coloured hills. From here you will return to Riva and your hotel for a relaxing few hours, where afternoon tea will be waiting. Evening: farewell dinner and drinks in a famous local restaurant in Riva. 8 Departure day After breakfast we will transfer to Verona airport for the flight back to the UK. Included excursions Northern Lake Garda by private boat A three centre excursion by private boat taking in the pretty northern towns of Limone, Riva and Malcesine. Champagne is served during the excursion. Southern Lake Garda including wine tasting Stopping in the towns of Lazise (for market day) and Sirmione for lunch you will see the best of Southern Lake Garda. Also included is a wine tasting with some delicious nibbles.

Dinner will be in a Venetian restaurant in the centre of the city. Hotels Grand Hotel Riva Located directly on the lake and in the heart of the medieval town of Riva, the four-star family run Grand Hotel Riva dominates the piazza. Breakfast is taken on the terrace (weather permitting) and the Bel Air restaurant on the fifth floor has open panoramic views over the harbour.
