2 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS / ITALY CANDIDACY Page 2 LOCATION & VENUE Exactly in the middle of European world of Inline Hockey, in the wide landscape of the mountains of Veneto the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, also known as the plateau of ASIAGO, represents one of the most elegant and most suitable to winter tourism and the summer months. ROANA, one of the Sette Comuni will host the competition in the brand new Ice Hockey rink built on the side of a quiet and relaxing mountain lake.

3 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS / ITALY CANDIDACY Page 3 WHY ROANA? FIHP is pleased to propose the candidacy of ROANA for the organization of the European In Line Hockey Championship, U18 and Senior Women. ROANA is a city of InLine Hockey. Together, ROANA and ASIAGO have 3 clubs practicing InLine hockey in this area (1 of series A and 2 of series B). With youth categories and female players, this area counts more than 250 members. Thanks to the big winning tradition of Asiago Vipers Club, we may state of course that this discipline has its home here. The rink proposed for the event is the official technical center of the Italian Federation from 2 years ago (even before its inauguration) as concerns the inline hockey activities. All the stages of the Italian national teams before international events are scheduled in ROANA. ROANA recently hosted the finals of the Italian Youth Championships, two editions of the Final Four of the Ladies Italian Championship and, from 2011; it is also the location for the training/education of all inline hockey coaches of the Italian Federation

5 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS / ITALY CANDIDACY Page 5 PLATEAU OF ASIAGO Conco, Enego, Foza, Gallio, Lusiana, and Rotzo: these are the other towns of this wonderful Plateau situated around Asiago. Each town has its own history, its strong identity and beauty to be discovered. Traditionally they are called the Seven Dear Brothers, or Siben Prudere Liben in Cimbrian, the ancient Germanic language spoken by the former inhabitants of the Plateau. Each of them is a whole world in miniature to discover.

It is the best destination for those who outdoor sports with hundreds of miles of dirty roads in vast green territories. Not to mention the adventure parks, the golf course with 18 holes and an ice rink open all year round. You can also try gliding, to experience the thrill of flying and admire the Plateau from the sky.

8 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS / ITALY CANDIDACY Page 8 VOLUNTEERS The organisation will be based on the Asiago Vipers experience and helped with 2 other clubs of the area. The Asiago Vipers organized qualification games and the Final Six of the Champions Cup from 2005 to A big number of volunteers (not less than 50) will be involved in the organization of the event. They will be recruited in the various local clubs, giving assistance to all teams and taking care of security, inside and outside the rink. Teams will be welcomed at the arrival and volunteers assigned to each delegation so to support at every moment during their stay in ROANA. SECURITY Local Police (mandatory in every sports event with spectators) will be involved together with First Aid and Ambulance. At the rink there will be connection to all emergency services (Police, Firemen, hospitals) if necessary.

In ROANA, all hotels are located no more than 1, 5 km far from the rink. Teams may go there by walking. Organizers will put at disposal mini vans (9 seats) for transfer of teams and staff from the rink to hotel and back

Press Room will be available for journalists Broadcasting of the event is still waiting for the agreement of a meeting of the Executive Board of the Italian Federation, scheduled next May 29.
