Detailed Itinerary Day 1: The trip meets in Amsterdam at the St. Christopher s Inn Amsterdam Hostel (Warmoesstraat 129, 1012 JA Amsterdam, Netherlands) anytime ater 4 PM Thursday aternoon. Transportation to this destination is not included. Please plan your arrival accordingly. Your Bus2alps guide will be at the hostel to help check you in between 16:00 and 22:00. Luggage storage will be available for those of you arriving before 16:00. For those of you arriving ater 22:00, you can check in at the reception desk and inform them you are with the Bus2alps group. Detailed information regarding your trip, including directions from all of Amsterdam s diferent airports to the accommodation, will be emailed to you in the days leading up to your departure. For those of you attending the Martin Garrix concert on Thursday night, your trip leader will direct you to the venue. If you are not attending the concert, the night is free for you to explore the various bars, clubs, and shows of Amsterdam, and your trip leader will be happy to direct you to various options. Day 2 Friday morning is free for you to explore the city, then ater lunch, we depart for Sandeman s New Europe Walking Tour of Amsterdam, which will take you by important sites like the Red Light District and Anne Frank House, while covering historical and contemporary facts about Amsterdam, its people, and its liberal culture. When the tour ends, a number of options are available to you. We ll be able to guide you to the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, I Amsterdam sign, and more! If you need a munchie ix, we ll show you an incredible pancake house built in an old carousel. Then the rest of the day is free. You may also participate in another one of Sandeman s New Europe tours like the Red Light District Tour, or the Famous Cofeeshops Tour. If you have any other requests your Bus2alps guide will be happy to help you; otherwise, feel free to navigate the canals and explore the various districts, stores, pubs, restaurants, and cofee shops for the rest of the day. This weekend is also the beginning of the Amstersdam Music Festival. On Friday night at 5 PM the show starts and hosts an impressive line-up featuring some of the most popular DJs of the world like Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas Like Mike, Hardwell, Martin Garrix & More! For those not going to the festival, the night is free again to explore more of Amsterdam s diverse nightlife.
Detailed Itinerary Day 3 Saturday gives you the opportunity to continue to explore Amsterdam and visit any and all of the sites you may have missed on Friday. Bus2alps will be taking our group to tour the Heinekin Experience in the late morning. If you wish to join the group, you will get a discounted rate and the tour ends with a canal tour! If you want to do your own thing, your guide can point you in the direction of the museums, Anne Frank House, and the Red Light District Tour, and Famous Cofee Shops Tour are also available on Saturday. Bus2alps also recommends renting a bike for the day as a fun and exciting way to get around and see the city like a local. This weekend is also the Amstersdam Music Festival.
