1 AMSTERDAM Canals of Amsterdam Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, has more than one hundred kilometers of canals, about 90 islands and 1,500 bridges. The three main canals, Herengracht, Prinsengracht, and Keizersgracht, dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, form concentric belts around the city, known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings. The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Jordaan, were placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in Museumplein The Museumplein, or Museum Square, is a public space in the South District of Amsterdam. Located at the Museumplein are three major museums: Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum, and the concert hall Concertgebouw. Van Gogh Museum The Van Gogh Museum is an art museum in Amsterdam in the Netherlands dedicated to the works of Vincent van Gogh and his contemporaries. The museum was founded in Its collection is the largest collection of Van Gogh's paintings and drawings in the world. In 2012, the museum had an estimated 1,438,000 visitors, which makes it the most visited museum in the Netherlands and the 30th most visited art museum worldwide.

2 Rijksmuseum The Rijksmuseum is dedicated to arts and history. It was founded in The Hague in 1800 and moved to Amsterdam in 1808, where it was first located in the Royal Palace and later in the Trippenhuis. The museum has on display 8,000 objects of art and history, from their total collection of 1 million objects from the years , among which are some masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Vermeer. The museum also has a small Asian collection which is on display in the Asian Pavilion. Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, also known as Stedelijk, is a museum for modern art, contemporary art. The collection comprises modern and contemporary art and design from the early 20th century up to the 21st century. It features artists such as van Gogh, Kandinsky, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol The Royal Concertgebouw The Royal Concertgebouw is a concert hall in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Dutch term "concertgebouw" literally translates into English as "concert building". Because of its highly regarded acoustics, the Concertgebouw is considered one of the finest concert halls in the world, along with places such as Boston's Symphony Hall and the Musikverein in Vienna.

3 Ann Frank House The Anne Frank House, located on the Prinsengracht canal, is a museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank, who hid from Nazi persecution with her family and four other people in hidden rooms at the rear of the building. As well as the preservation of the hiding place, known in Dutch as the Achterhuis, and an exhibition on the life and times of Anne Frank, the museum acts as an exhibition space to highlight all forms of persecution and discrimination. Verzetsmuseum The Dutch Resistance Museum is located in the Plantage neighborhood in Amsterdam. Chosen as the best historical museum of the Netherlands, it tells the story of the Dutch people in World War II. Permanent exhibit of the museum recreates the atmosphere of the streets of Amsterdam during the German occupation of the World War II. This is an exhibition about the everyday life during that time, but also about exceptional historical events, resistance of the population against the Nazis and heroism. The Red Light District The famous Red Light District is one of the city s oldest neighborhoods. It goes through Warmoesstraat, Oudezijds Voorburgwal and Oudezijds Achterburwal.

4 NEMO NEMO is a science center located at the Oosterdok in Amsterdam-Centrum, situated between the Oosterdokseiland and Kattenburg. The museum has its origins in 1923, and is housed in a building designed by Renzo Piano since It contains five floors of hands-on science exhibitions and is the largest science center in the Netherlands. From its roof, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city.
