Evidence requirements Learners will prduce a written reprt/pster/display bard/verbal presentatin discussing the different types f rapid prttyping and additive manufacturing systems. It shuld cver the key features f such systems and the technlgical advancements that have taken place since its inceptin. It will discuss advantages, applicatins and the future develpments f rapid prttyping and additive manufacturing systems. The presentatin will be supprted by practical evidence f a rapid prttyped part prduced n a machine by the learner. Guidance n assessment and evidence requirements Tutrs shuld ensure that the delivery f this unit is as practical as pssible. Learners shuld be given expsure t rapid prttyping equipment and allwed time t use the machine. If centres d nt have access t a machine then partnerships with lcal cmpanies, universities r clleges culd be frmed. Tutrs shuld ensure that learners are taught abut the range f different technlgies available regardless f the in-huse system.
