The Millennium Summer School program is to bridge achievement gaps in reading and math for students in grades 2, 3 and 4; in particular we will reach out to our current 3 rd graders scoring at Level 1 on Spring 2016 Smarter Balance Assessments. This will be a 14 day intensive summer intervention program which will target specific deficits for additional instruction and support. The reading intervention will utilize the IRLA reading data, leveled book tubs and foundational ARC kits. In math, the focus will be on core cluster concepts identified at each level for re-teaching and deeper intervention using Math Expression resources.
