It is responsible for setting the strategic direction and guiding an extended network of public and private service delivery agencies to deliver improved transport outcomes. Primary purpose of the role The primary purpose of the role is to assist the Manager Metro Operations in creating a Centre of Excellence for metro bus and other modes of service operations analysis. The role is responsible for providing qualitative and quantitative analytical support to collect, collate, critically interpret and manage internal and external data to transform into information for meaningful business decision making. Key accountabilities Live the NSW Public Sector and organisational values to achieve outstanding outcomes for the organisation and customers. Provide detailed and accurate data analysis to provide management information to the Contract Management teams. Provide supplier analysis, particularly in regards to proposed changes to bus, ferry & light rail service variations to reinforce service contract and performance strategies in conjunction with business units to effectively address all procurement and service variation issues within Metro Service Delivery. Analyse, understand and report on changing supplier performance and trends to optimise the potential of Metro Service Delivery supplier relationships. Use operational system tools, rostering and scheduling knowledge to observe and analyse outputs to improve supplier efficiency and effectiveness. 1

Use measurement tools such as benchmarking, quality assurance methodologies, performance metrics, data trend analysis to improve service delivery. Key challenges Undertake prescribed work in a challenging environment and work as part of a team to develop transparent and effective processes and procedures. Ensure accurate information, analysis and recommendations are based on sound and reliable data that achieves a sense of surety and confidence amongst stakeholders.
