Austin Utility Location & Coordination Committee Agenda Meeting scheduled for Thursday June 30, 2016 One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, 10th floor Conference Room Time: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Project Contacts: The projects will be reviewed in the order listed after any announcements are made. Allowing for announcements, there should be ample time for discussion of each project; however, the discussion of each could take as little as 5 minutes or as long as 15 minutes to complete. If you have no representative present when your project comes up, the project will be rotated to the end of the agenda. Please sidebar lengthy discussions with the reviewers, if necessary, until the end of the meeting. The AULCC meeting is scheduled for 2 hours; however, the conference room is reserved until 4:30. Please make yourself available after the meeting for additional discussions, if requested, with the project managers or consultants. 1 PAR-Dove Springs Recreation Center Expansion UCC-160630-01-01 The City of Austin (COA) desires to expand the existing Dove Springs District Park Recreation Center building at 5801 Ainez Drive, in Southeast Austin. The recreation center was constructed under COA approved Site Plan No. SPC-94-0444C. This expansion will include a new building and a shaded open area which connects the new building to the existing building. An extended fire lane and a fire hydrant is also proposed to meet Fire Code. The existing sidewalk from Ainez Drive to the building will be reconstructed to be ADA compliant. Chan & Partners Engineering (CPE) is responsible for site civil design. The domestic water line will be rerouted to provide water for the new building. 3 SP-Residence Hall 5 Student Housing UCC-160630-03-01 St Edwards University is planning to construct a new residence hall on the southern portion of the campus adjacent to Woodward Street and Theater Pass. As part of this construction, additional utilties will be installed both within the campus, and in the adjacent Woodward Street right-ofway. As shown on the Utility Plan we are proposing to install several underground duct banks, pull boxes, and manholes for power/telecommunications. Note: the depicted linework is from the final design by Austin Energy. Additionally, an 8" WW line will be installed across Woodward Street to tie to an existing WW manhole. There are several existing utilities within Woodward Street as shown (cable, overhead power, public water, storm sewer, wastewater, gas.) Note that the design engineer has already coordinated with the utility companies as depicted on the Utility Plan. 4 SP-Springwood Self Storage at 9206 Anderson Mill Road UCC-160630-04-01 The proposed 0.915-acre site is currently developed with two one-story storage unit buildings and associated paving. The proposed development is for one three-story storage unit building and associated infrastructure. The site is located at 9206 Anderson Mill Rd., the Williamson County Parcel No. is R055054. The site is located within the Lake Creek Suburban Watershed. The existing 6-inch waterline (COA #74-0121) runs north and south in the Harmony Hill St. R.O.W. and will be used to serve the site with domestic water and fire protection. Wastewater flows from the site will tie into the existing wastewater manhole (COA #135187) located west of the southwest corner of the property. The proposed stormwater pipe will tie into the existing curb inlet along Anderson Mill Rd. just south of the southwest corner of the property. The existing 16-inch waterline (COA W-2002-0527) runs west to east on the north side of the site and then turns and parallels Wier Hills Road towards Rialto Blvd. This line will be used to serve the site with domestic water and fire protection. Wastewater flows from the site will tie into the existing wastewater main (COA 2001-0810) utilizing a proposed manhole located just west of the property. The proposed stormwater system will treat all onsite water and discharge into the existing waterway located in the middle of the site. All offsite water will be collected and diverted to multiple locations of the existing waterway.
