VoIP Setup 1. Software Installation a. Locate the folder CC_VoIP_Install.zip. This will be supplied by your RuffaloCODY contact or available on your CAMPUSCALL server. Download on each calling stations. Run the install msi file. Follow the prompts, using the default values. You might need to enter the local area code. 2. Connections to the call station Connect the headset to the USB cable. Plug USB cable into computer. Analog Setup (Way2Call Hi-Phone) 1. Connections to the call station USB cable to Way2Call dialer. Ethernet cable to network. Connect monitor, keyboard, and power, etc. 2. Connections to the Way2Call dialer Pass through to amplifier. Analog phone line to telephone wall jack. USB cable to calling station computer. 3. Connections to the amplifier Headset 4. Install Way2Call driver located on provided CD or at http://www.voicecti.com/scripts/openextra.asp?extra=28 Connections - Back Analog phone Line 1 goes to wall connection USB/power cord connects to computer Amplifier to Way2Call: Cord plugged into the far left port on the amplifier connects to the HS1 port on the Way2Call device Connections - Front Headset button should be down at all times Mute button: Down = Muted Up = Talk Amplifier Settings Use mic adjust tool located on bottom of the amp to adjust microphone sensitivity. Dial should be set pointing straight up. + - Headset connection to amplifier Frequency slider should be set on #5 2
CAMPUSCALL Station Setup *Station setup must be completed regardless of a dialing devices being used. During initial setup, you must log into each station with local administrative rights. Internet Explorer 9 or higher 32bit must be used for CAMPUSCALL. 1. Internet Options Launch Internet Explorer; go to the Tools menu and then select Internet Options a. From the General tab, in the Browsing History area, click Settings. Under Check for newer versions of stored pages select Every time I visit the webpage. Click OK to return to the General tab. b. From the Security tab, Select the Trusted Sites icon and click the Sites button. Add the CAMPUSCALL web address to this zone. Click Add and Close when finished. 3
Select the Custom Level button for Trusted Sites. o Scroll to ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins and set the following to Enable: Automatic prompting for Active-X controls Initialize and Script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting o Scroll to Miscellaneous and set the following to Disable: Use Pop-up Blocker Use SmartScreen Filter Click OK and approve changes at the warning prompt that appears. Click OK to close Internet Options. Note: Make sure there are no accessory toolbars, such as the Google Toolbar installed on the calling stations. 2. Create the CAMPUSCALL Shortcut a. Right click on the Desktop and select New Shortcut. Type the following into the Location box: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" k https://<yourcampuscallservername>/ccall Click Next and type the name for this shortcut. b. Click Finish and close all windows. Launch CAMPUSCALL using the newly created shortcut on the desktop. 3. Install Java (1.7 32bit) a. If Java does not already exist on the calling stations, when the CampusCALL link is opened, a yellow banner will appear near the top of the Internet Explorer screen prompting to install ActiveX controls. Click this and select Allow. The Java installation will begin. o At the J2SE Runtime Environment, click Accept for a Typical Setup. o At the prompt to install the Google Desktop verify that the box to install this is NOT checked. Click Next. Java will now download and install. At the Installation Complete prompt, click Finish; CAMPUSCALL will launch. At the Security Warning prompt, check Always Trust. Click Run. b. The CAMPUSCALL login screen should appear. 4
4. Adjust Java Control Panel a. Adjust Java permissions from the Java control panel: From the General tab Temporary Internet Files click Settings button. o Uncheck the Keep temporary internet files on my computer box. o Click the Delete files button click OK in the dialog box that appears. Close this dialog box. Click OK to return to the General tab. From the Security tab: o Confirm the security level slider is set to Medium. o Click Apply and OK from the main Java control panel. 5
5. Turn off User Account Controls (if using Windows 7) a. Locate User Accounts from the Windows control panel. Select Change User Account Control settings and adjust account settings to never prompt. This may require you to restart the calling station. Configuring CAMPUSCALL for a New Dialing Device If this device type has been used before, this step is not necessary. 1. Create/Adjust a Dialing Profile a. From Site Admin, select Dialing Profiles. Locate the template profile device (Way2Call for Analog or VOIP) o Adjust the profile to fit your dialing needs, i.e. add a 9, 8 or other number to gain an outside line, and any necessary pre- or post-dialing string such as a long distance code. The W is required in all Way2Call prefixes, do not remove. Save the dialing profile. 2. Configure Site Profile a. From Site Admin, select Site Profile. From the general tab, select the appropriate default device and default dial profile. Click Save. 3. Verify Station Names a. From Site Admin, select Station Master. b. Click Search to locate all existing stations. Confirm station names shown in Station Master match existing calling station names. Use only the station name, do not include the domain or workgroup name. o If necessary, stations settings for default device and dialing profile may need to be adjusted. o VoIP credentials can also be assigned here. 6
