MSc Enterprise Systems Develpment and Management (Full Time/ Part Time) E560 1. Intrductin Available in bth full and part-time mde, the MSc Enterprise Systems Develpment and Management prgramme will prvide graduates frm IT and related fields with the necessary skills t manage enterprise-wide systems. This prgramme is a respnse t the increasing need f business centres fr leaders wh can manage peple and prcesses, wh cmmunicate well, and wh are knwledgeable abut the issues and best practices in integrating and managing enterprise data and prcesses. The curse has been designed t permit a high degree f flexibility in that students may take varying cmbinatins f mdules. 2. Aims and Objectives The prgramme aims at develping skills in managing enterprise-wide infrmatin systems that crdinate all the resurces, infrmatin, and activities needed t cmplete business prcesses such as rder fulfilment r billing. The successful graduate will becme a cmpetent manager wh can cmmunicate well, train and lead thers in selecting, installing, integrating, prtecting, and maintaining integrated systems fr business functins such as business intelligence, manufacturing, supply chain management, financials, prjects, human resurces and custmer relatinship management. Mdules will include class presentatins by students.. General Entry Requirements Successful cmpletin f an undergraduate degree with at least a Secnd Class r 50%, whichever is applicable, r a GPA nt less than 2.5 ut f 4 r equivalent, frm a recgnised Higher Educatin Institutin, r alternative qualificatins acceptable t the University f Mauritius. 4. Prgramme Requirements Any undergraduate degree in Cmputer Science r ther related areas, OR business/management degree with IT-based mdules acceptable t the department. Familiarity with accunting cncepts is advantageus. 5. Prgramme Duratin The nrmal duratin f the prgramme will be as detailed belw. Cntinuus assessment may be based n labratry wrks, and/r assignments and tests but shuld include at least 2 assignments/tests per mdule. An verall ttal f 40% fr cmbined cntinuus assessment and written examinatin cmpnents wuld be required t pass the mdule, withut minimum threshlds within the individual cntinuus assessment and written examinatin.
