In the past few Years State of Digital has helped events, agencies and tools get in touch with their audience and increase their sales, whether it s tickets, clients or users, and find new employees. They worked with State of Digital on webinars (for example a complete tools week in 2013), whitepapers (SEO Now in cooperation with Linkdex was a huge success) and targeted social campaigns like competitions and give aways. Banners You can advertise on the website through banners, there are three kind of banners: Top banner (Leaderboard, 425x30) The Leaderboard will be reserved for advertisers who want to achieve maximum impact. A one-week banner delivers minimum 50,000 impressions.

State of Digital 2014/2015 Site wide sidebar banners (260x260) Large Sidebar Ad (max 2): Size: 260 x 260 (Middle Right). This banner has maximum impact if implemented for all pages and articles. It can also be implemented on category specific pages. Category- specific banners The above-mentioned banners can also be published only in specific categories. Sponsored posts The sponsor can write a post for on the site, which will be published as a sponsored post. The sponsor can determine the content of this post but we will keep an editorial view on it to make sure it fits the State of Digital standards. A sponsored post has an average of 3000-5000 views and will be published alongside the regular posts and shared through feed and social media.

Social Media Competitions/ Giveaways Competitions and giveaways can be a very effective way of getting your brand visible to your audience. It adds to the positive feeling your audience has with your brand. On State of Digital you can create this positive feeling by organizing competitions or giveaways using the website and/or the social channels. Note: Giveaways and competitions will always be marked as such, and links in these articles will be no followed. Webinars / Online training There are two types of being part of a webinar or online training session: sponsoring an existing webinar/training or organizing a sponsor specific webinar/training. Sponsoring a webinar State of Digital organizes webinars on different topics. In most cases these webinars are free, but can be sponsored. A webinar/training will have an expected 80-200 attendees, depending on the promotion given to it. The webinar will be recorded and afterwards published on the website to give it more exposure. As a partner you will receive the data of the attendees and you will have the option to ask them questions as well as target them. Similar to a webinar we organize Google hangouts, which can be sponsored as well. Promotion Webinar The sponsor can do a webinar which will be promoted on the website on which it presents its product or part of its product. The sponsor will get the e-mail addresses of the attendees. A webinar will have an expected 40-100 attendees, depending on the promotion given to it. The webinar will be recorded and afterwards published on the website to give it more exposure. E-mail State of Digital sends out e-mails daily (Daily Update) and monthly (Newsletter) to its subscribers. The viewer has the option to forward to a friend, opt out or contact us. There are different ways of advertising to our subscribers:

Advertise in newsletters Within the newsletters the different advertising opportunities are: Banner In the newsletter you can get a banner (maximum size 200x200) linking through to your website. Advertorial post At the bottom of the newsletter you can get an advertorial post of maximum 250 words. This post will be marked Adv.: and will have a by-line stating it is a sponsored post. Product Spotlight Email Create a product spotlight with a nice visual, short text and your logo. State of Digital will email it out to our subscribers. This is a great way to introduce new products and services and highlight solutions to our followers. Product spotlights will be archived online for future access. Podcast In 2015 State of Digital has the State of Digital Marketing Podcast, a podcast hosted by Bas van den Beld. This podcast features different types of content: interviews with industry experts, explanation of strategies and tactics and audio post.
