Training and Education TAE10 Training Package

Training and Assessment / The TAE10 training package contains nationally recognised qualifications that provide you with the skills and confidence to become an effective trainer and assessor. Whether you want to complete a qualification to become a trainer and assessor or upgrade your skills, there is a program to suit your needs. This guide includes the full TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, 5 Skill Sets, TAE50110 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development and a Double Diploma. The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, forming part of the nationally endorsed Training and Assessment Training Package (TAE10), is the current industry benchmark for anyone responsible for competency based training program design, development, delivery and assessment in the national Vocational Education and Training (VET) framework. The course also provides the skills for workplace trainers in the delivery and assessment of a variety of courses. Benefits People who have the skills to design, implement, manage and evaluate assessment and training systems within various workplaces are highly sought after in a wide variety of industries and organisations. On completion of a training qualification, such as the TAE40110, you will be able to work within a range of exciting areas such as: > > training and assessing staff within various enterprises > > training and assessing on behalf of registered training organisations > > training needs analysis > > consultancy services relating to vocational training. Modes of Study There are various modes of teaching that are used to deliver these courses. Classroom delivery The candidate attends face-to-face sessions with the trainer at William Angliss Institute s campus or at your venue. Practical activities and assignments will be completed in class with a requirement for workplace application. Distance learning The course is completed online with regular Skype and phone contact with the trainer. Practical activities and assignments will be completed in a suitable training environment. Blended delivery This is a combination of classroom delivery and distance learning. Group Training For organisations with several candidates, group training can be organised. Talk to us about blended delivery to groups. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 6-9 months Classroom / Distance / Blended options Vocational skill Intermediate computing skills Language, Literacy and Numeracy test Cost*: Classroom delivery (8-10 sessions) $1750 Distance learning $1500 Blended delivery (client only) $1600 Skills based recognition $1200 Skills audit (deductable from course fee) $500 The TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment program equips candidates to train and assess others in the workplace and in a structured classroom environment. This flexible program has both online and face-to-face training choices as well as options to select relevant skill sets. It covers the skills you need to plan and deliver training sessions to groups and individuals, while also providing you with the knowledge necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of your training. It will also provide you with the capacity to assess the competence of people who have completed your training. Who should attend Those who wish to become a trainer and assessor, as well as workplace trainers and assessors, particularly those working for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). This course is also suitable for candidates who work for training and assessment organisations, including those responsible for designing and delivering training and assessment processes and tools. Access to a practice environment Candidates are expected to have access to an operating training and assessment environment. This will provide an opportunity for practice, for applying skills and knowledge and for undertaking relevant work activities that address the requirements of the units which make up the qualification. Selection process You need to have a vocational skill which you can teach and assess, fluent spoken and written English, and intermediate computing skills with the ability to use word processing and conduct internet research. Adequate language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills are required to complete the assessment requirements of the qualification. Candidates will undertake LLN testing prior to enrolment in this course. *All prices are per person and include GST.

Skills Based Recognition (Recognition of Prior Learning - RPL) and Skills Audit RPL is available for each unit of competency based on relevant workplace experience, formal and informal training and other expertise. Candidates will be required to provide an experience verification statement and supporting evidence for each unit of competency. As part of this process we will undertake a skills audit to determine whether the candidate is able to proceed with an RPL application or if they should participate in formal training. The skills audit will define the existing skills and experience of an individual and determine if these are sufficient to ensure a successful RPL application. In some cases RPL may be granted for some units, while others may have to be completed via gap training. The skills audit is conducted for a fee that is deducted from the balance of the pathway that the candidate decides to take to complete their qualification. Should the candidate decide they just want a Statement of Attainment for the units they have been deemed competent in, this fee will not be refunded and a $50 processing fee will be incurred. Course duration and delivery > > Classroom delivery - 8-10 full day sessions to be completed over six to nine months. > > Distance learning regular Skype and phone contact with the trainer and completed over six to nine months. > > Blended delivery 5 full day classroom sessions with the remaining covered via distance. This option is available for clients that have a group of 8 candidates or more, who want to complete their learning on site. This is completed over six to nine months. The volume of learning is approximately 300 hours including a 10 hours per week commitment from the candidate. Assessment Assessment of competence is achieved by completing practical activities, projects and reports, third party verifications and short answer questions. Pre-enrolment information Candidates will be required to register and pay for their training on the William Angliss Short Course website. They then complete an enrolment form, pre-training review, training plan and obtain their Unique Student Identification (USI) number. Once this is done confirmation of enrolment and training materials will be forwarded to them.
