Centered Wellness Business Meeting Wednesday, January 7 2015 AGENDA FINALIZE EVENTS FOR 2015 CONFIRM POSTCARD MARKETING TEXT DISCUSS DEADLINES FOR END OF YEAR MEMBERSHIP FEES NETWORKING-BRING YOUR BUSINESS CARDS AND FLYERS! PLEASE WELCOME DECEMBER'S NEW MEMBERS! Annette Hemminger, Beth Gatchell, Beth Mucklo, Barb Hribar, Lori Palmer, Nancy Nicholas, Roseanne Heinrich. Nancy and Barb are our first "official" regional members from the Fairlawn area. Several of our veteran members will be meeting in that area for convenience. Let me know if you would like to be notified of those meetings. Some who will be joining that group are: Mary Ellen Derwis, Deb Jones, and Holly Matson. This group will be re-meeting this January. Attendees: Betsy Muller, Sue Ball, Jill Josselson, Kathy Lowery, Sheila Buchanan, Debbie Jones, Holly Matson, Jim McDonald, Pamela McCue, Mesha Moor, Hank Setala, Clyde Chafer, Tolisa Mize Horning, Tammy Danlovic, Lori Palmer, Tina Thonnings, Jim Froelich (guest), Mandy Quiper ( guest ), Beth Mucklo, Debbie Balmert ( guest ), Mary Maynard, Melanie Daly Affiliate and Guest Introductions We had a full house with 22 affiliates and guest participants. Some points made during networking is the intention to coordinate events regionally through Clyde s resource printings to further collaboration. Website Updates Jim McDonald All classes that have been received to date have been published on the CW website Jim is aware that there are new people and profiles have been received. New profiles are pending as submitted classes and events take priority to get listed to the website. Roles Mesha Moore has volunteered to be the New Member Coordinator Sue Ball has volunteered to be our Treasurer Debbie Jones has volunteered to be the Official Note Taker for the CW business meetings Kathy Lowery has volunteered to send out the Constant Contact e-mails for the affiliate communications 1

Finalize Events & Fairs for 2015 Events will be from 12:00-4:00 Sept 19 Clarity in the Midst of Chaos will be from 10:00-12:00 with a winery bus tour following as a combined or separate event Wellness Fairs will be from 10:00-5:00 Event vs. a Fair The Events are topical and smaller (held in the Community Room) Fairs are larger events, inclusive of all affiliates, held throughout the building including Unity Hall Each event we have scheduled for the year needs a leader for them to happen. (This does not include the Wellness Fairs). The majority of the meeting was spent discussing the timing for each event and gaining volunteers to lead each event. Leader names are listed next to each event listed below. If there is an event that you would like to volunteer for, please reach out to the current leader to offer your help. Holly Matson (Mary Maynard deferred to her experience) will be writing up a job description for the leader so that there are clear expectations for the role. Our ultimate goal is to be more organized and prepared for the events so that they will be a success. Wellness Fairs We will no longer have paid KeyNote speakers at our fairs. We will be looking at our own affiliates to speak at our events. To ensure success of our events it is imperative that each CW Affiliate member highlight our events through their own e-mails lists/social media and websites. We cannot rely alone on the marketing provided by CW to highlight the event. 2015 Events and Fairs March 21 Wellness Fair April 18 - Healing Arts (Event Team) Beth Mucklo, Tina Palmer, Lori Thonnings) 2

May 16 Earth Mother (Event Team) Kathy Lowery, Jonalea Neider, Sue Ball) June 20 Aging (Leader of Event - Jill Josselson) July 25- Christmas in July (Event Team), Kathy Lowery, Mary Maynard) August 15 - Business Technology ( Event Team ), Holly Matson, Michelle Coles) September 19 Clarity in the Midst of Chaos which will include a Wine tasting bus tour - ( Event Team ) Betsy Muller, Mesha Moor October 17-18 Hank Setala s Fair-Hank will be issuing instructions and invitations for booths soon November 14 -Wellness Fair How can we integrate CW Affiliates into other events hosted by CW Members Holistic Health and Healing Expo -Hank Setala 3

2015 Holistic Health and Healing Expo scheduled for October 17-18 At this year s event Hank will again be offering the Centered Wellness/Unity table Hank will be consulting his partner to see if he is able to offer a reduced table rate to CW members interested in having an individual table. ($250 is the standard table fee for a two day event) Journey Expo Clyde Chafer 2015 Journey Expo Event is scheduled for September 11-12 at Lakeland Community College Clyde is looking to have a smaller event with roughly 35 hand picked vendors who will be doing healing work If any CW affiliate is interested in having a booth at Clyde s event, please call Clyde directly and he will discuss discounted prices with you Clyde also has a Psychic Guide that lists holistic healers. If you are interested in having your business listed contact Clyde at info@thejourneymag.com We have changed the date for Christmas in July event from July 4 th to July 25 th. We have also changed the event from a community BBQ to a charity fundraiser event. Three suggestions are on the table for this event Go to a not for profit charitable group and offer our services for the day Affiliates make food at Unity and deliver it to a not for profit charitable organization Host an event at Unity. 100% of our fees charged at the event will go towards our chosen charity (We would ask our chosen charity to highlight our event on their website/mailing list) Please submit your ideas for a charity to Mary Maynard at inrightform@yahoo.com Highlighted Event in March 28 March 28 from 7-9pm - Holly Matson will be hosting Renaissance Era Dancing. 100% of the profits raised will be going towards Centered Wellness. Holly is asking that we all highlight this event. Deadlines for the end of year membership fees Due to the departure of our former CW treasurer affiliates Mary stopped receiving monthly statements that reflect their balance for their 2014 membership fees. We are looking to get this corrected in 2015. Mary will be sending each affiliate the end of year statement by e-mail by January 31 st. Your remaining balance must be paid ONLINE. NO checks or Cash will be accepted for payment. 2015 Affiliate deposits of $75 needs to be paid ONLINE by February 28 th. NO cash or Checks will be accepted for payment. If you have any questions with regard to dates, fees please visit http://www.affiliatescw.homestead.com/ CW Affiliate Banquet 4

All Affiliate Annual Banquet scheduled for Saturday, February 7 th from 11:00-1:00 Please confirm with Mary Maynard at by January 15 th if you plan to attend (inrightform@yahoo.com or call 216.228.0537) Next Centered Wellness Business Meeting is scheduled for Saturday March 7 th from 10-12 as the February Business meeting will be held during our brunch!.
