The Association is interested in receiving proposals that will engage Conference attendees in learning about current best practices, explore practical workforce tools and solutions, and expand new content knowledge based on experience and research. We look forward to your submissions! CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS DUE 4:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2016 AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT GESTA will provide a projector, AV cart, screen, and Wi-Fi. Presenters must bring their own laptop, phone line, and video equipment. If you utilize a MAC computer, please bring appropriate cables. SESSION MATERIALS Presenter s workshop materials are due (via email to patricia.leahey@dol.nj.gov) to the GESTA office by 4:00 p.m. August 31, 2016. Please note that unless otherwise noted workshop materials will be posted to the GSETA website after the Conference. Please bring 50 copies of any materials for your workshop. PRESENTER INFORMATION All presenters will be registered for the conference for the days of their presentations free of charge, participation on any other day will be at that day s registration rate. It is expected that Presenter s will pay for their own travel. BIO AND PICTURE: Presenter bios and photos will be provided in the conference materials. Please provide brief bio(s) and high quality JPEG picture to be included in the program. You can upload your photo at time of registration. The bio should be current and succinct. We are interested in programmatic models that have experience designing collaborative procedures such as outreach and intake, performance or indicators of success, resource alignment to best serve businesses and job seekers, business recruitment and services or staff development. SECTOR FOCUS: Initiatives or programs that deeply engage with employers for education, training and/or employment in an in-demand sector REGIONALISM: Promising practices that support a regional approach, aligning education and training strategies and services with regional economies rather than with county boarders YOUTH SERVICES: WIOA requires strategic programs to address the needs of a challenging population that can be difficult to identify and engage; share programs that demonstrate the ability to recruit, engage and retain youth, providing them the career and transitions skills necessary to become self-sufficient and independent adults.
