1 Ministry Openings Position: Assistant Principal for Academics Red Bank Catholic, Red Bank, NJ One-hundred and twenty years ago, the Sisters of Mercy came to Red Bank and helped grow Red Bank Catholic into a recognized and beloved institution. The school is now seeking a Sister of Mercy to once again help steer this school. The assistant principal will help develop and execute short and long range goals for the school, including implementing academic and faculty programs and procedures, developing curriculum, and supervising and evaluating instructional staff. Will also coordinate professional development, assist with recruitment and hiring of staff, oversee scheduling, and supervise summer enrichment programs. A master s degree and New Jersey administrative certification or equivalent is required, as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills. 2 Position: Parish Catechetical Leader Saint Mary s Parish, Cherry Hill, NJ Seeking a full-time catechetical leader responsible for developing, organizing and supervising the parish catechetical program from grades 1-8. This program serves 400 students and their families. Is also responsible for recruiting catechists and aides for the program and arranging and developing curriculum and schedules. Will help provide ongoing training and faith formation of the catechists and manage all aspects of the sacramental programs of first reconciliation, first Eucharist and confirmation. A bachelor s degree in religious education or related field is required; master s degree preferred. Also must have experience in teaching in a religious education program or Catholic school education. Will be responsible for sacramental preparation and parent sessions, recruitment and training of catechists, liturgical programming for seasons of the church year, administrative tasks including scheduling, record keeping, and purchasing texts and materials. 3 Position: Coordinator of Experiential Learning Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ Seeking a full-time coordinator to manage the internship program and to provide leadership for the student service learning program through the integration of community service opportunities and experiences with the academic program. Within these two programs, responsibilities include recruiting employers for internship and service opportunities, developing marketing and outreach programs, conducting workshops, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, and organizing the annual week-long program on justice concern of the Sisters of Mercy. A master s degree in career counseling, student affairs or related field is required. Position: McAuley Institute for Lifelong Learning (MILL) Program Specialist Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ This part-time position reports to the director of advancement and provides educational opportunities for the greater senior community, as well as opportunities for alumni and friends to reestablish ties to Georgian Court University and to generate additional revenue for the university through the McAuley Institute for Lifelong Learning (MILL). Will support a variety of membership and educational programs and events. Helps manage all registrations and records in Raiser s Edge, supervises work study students and supports online web initiatives for continuing education. Some night and weekend work is required. A bachelor s degree is required; master s degree preferred. Must have at least three years of experience in a continuing education, curriculum design, marketing, program administration, membership organization or related setting. Will communicate with public officials, provide education tools to lead to a deeper understanding of injustice and interconnectedness, and participate in meetings, press conferences, lobby days and NGO meetings. Also will collaborate with the Sisters of Charity Federation and its U.N. NGO to be effective in addressing global concerns.
