Edition 01/00 G0301FR010 DGM1D ontroller ontact less Smartcard ersion.0 WIRING DIAGRAM AND INSTRUTIONS DGM1 ontroller The DGM1 is a 1-door control unit. Unlimited number of cardholders. The DGM1 controller can be switched from stand alone to a networkable system. It is compatible with the UGL UGM, UGL/K UGM/K and PDN s simply by connecting the controller to a reader controller. Programming of the ontroller The controller is programmed with the P13 Terminal unit made specially to manage all the utilities in the DGM1 controller. The P13 Terminal unit can be connected to a P so all the information from the DGM1 controllers can be stored and managed from a software. Wiring specifications of the controller and the reader (see wiring diagrams) The controller is powered in 1 A/D / 300 MA, polarity free in A or D. The recommended cable is SYT1 of 0.8mm² up to 3 meter between the ontroller and the reader and 50 ohms coaxial cable over 3 meters. It recommended to connected the reader at least at meter and at 10 meter maximum. The reader has a input terminal. Battery When removing or replacing a battery make sure the «controller is not powered» when the battery is replaced insert tag protection. Remove the tag protection while the controller is powered; Set the date and the hour with the P13 Terminal unit. Access ontrol: Trade & Services and ardholders Specific Trade & Services could be loaded in the controller with the P13 terminal unit. It is done with the smartcard reader built-in the terminal. Make sure the J jumper is ON so the cardholder programming is enabled on the controller. The cardholders are programmed with the P13 terminal unit. 1
Edition 01/00 G0301FR010 Installation heck up Once the installation is completed, and the controller is powered the LED on the reader lights in red and green (orange) during seconds then switches off. The LED lights in green for valid badge and in red for an invalid badge. Wiring diagrams Terminals To start the controller the following terminals must be connected: Direct wiring : - J: (see wiring diagram) - J3 : input voltage and door lock (electric strike, magnet ) - Optional: - J5 : Request-to-exit push button onnection to a network access control system - J1 RS3 cable between the P13 and the DGM1 controller Ref: /DGM1 F0108000018 JP1 : Site ode JP : ardholder programming enabled JP3 : RS3 mode Battery Relay output J3-1 : N/O J3- : ommon J3-3 : N/ 1A/D 1A/D Request-to-Exit Input oltage The input voltage on the DGM1 controller admissible is from 10 to 1 and the maximum consumption is of 00 MA.

Request-to-Exit (Remote exit device input) J5 A remote exit device, a push button, must be connected on J5 terminal input GND and BP. Bouton poussoir de sortie GND BP Relay output The door lock is connected to J3 terminal on the controller. The time default output is 5 seconds. The time output of the relay can be reprogrammed with the P13 terminal unit from to 0 seconds. This device comes with a varistor. The varistor must be connected to the strike terminal (electromagnet ) operated by the device. If this product works with many strikes, each of them should have a varistor. The varistor controls the overload produced by the strike coil back emf. 3
