To find out more information on RTOs and their scope of registration go to www.training.gov.au The NRT logo indicates that a course is accredited and leads to nationally recognised qualifications. Accredited courses comprise of modules, units of competency or whole qualifications from national Training Packages. This means that the courses are competency based and that you will be assessed throughout the course to determine if you have met the competency standards. To achieve competency you will need to: * actively participate in course sessions * complete assessment tasks and/or projects to the standard required for competency * be able to use spoken and written English to the standard required to complete the course work If you achieve competency you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment or nationally recognised qualification on completion of the course. All RTOs across Australia train and assess to the same competency standards so your Qualification will be recognised by employers and other RTOs throughout the country. You can enrol in an accredited course and choose not to be assessed. If you complete the course you will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the College. recognition The College recognises all AQF qualifications issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). You will be required to demonstrate your ability in the skills particular to the unit of competency, and if successful, will receive the same qualification as participants who have completed the course. The accredited courses we offer will give you the edge in the workplace and are offered in various formats so that you can find a time that is right for you. Successful completion of each course will provide you with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment, or complete the required combinations of these units to receive a full Certificate. Courses are delivered in our training rooms at Cartwright and our Tutors are of the highest standard using material produced to help your training at every stage. We also offer online and distance study for selected courses Our VET Manager is happy to help you plan your program and provide assistance. support services The College has highly experienced staff able to help you with any problems that you may encounter in commencing and completing your course. Support may be provided by: * assisting participants who have special needs * adjusting participant learning resources to better suit your learning needs * providing additional coaching sessions * adjusting assessments for accredited courses * small group activities * tailoring courses to the needs of the client * providing additional assistance with literacy, numeracy needs An additional fee may be charged depending on the level of support required. CERTIFICATE IV IN TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT UNIQUE STUDENT IIDENTIFIER (USI) From 1/1/15 anyone undertaking accredited training must have a USI (Unique Student Identifier). The College will require you to apply for one before it can issue any qualifications or Statements of Attainment. Go to www.usi.gov.au and apply for one now. It will only take 5-10 minutes - you just enter your personal details with one form of ID (e.g. Driver s licence, Medicare card, passport, etc). Please forward the Successful creation of USI email you receive to enquiry@macarthurcc.com.au. Please contact the College office on 9826 6455 if more information is required. RPL - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Do you currently work in a training and assessment environment? Do you teach small groups or individuals? Do you assess in the workplace? Are you familiar with the vocational education and training environment in Australia? If you have answered yes to all these questions you may be able to get recognition for your current skills, knowledge and experience. You will need to be able to show an assessor your competency by providing proof such as supervisor reports, references, job descriptions, programs, session plans, assessment tasks, learning plans and certificates, etc. In addition the assessor will need to interview you and possibly conduct a workplace visit. Phone the College office to discuss your eligibility. If accepted a non-refundable $100 fee will be payable to commence this process. On lodgement of your completed RPL application, the remaining $865 fee is payable before the final assessment is undertaken. RPL FEE $965 (GST Free) TAE40110 Information Session Who should attend? You will learn about basic adult learning principles and develop skills to be confident in delivering basic presentations and training. During the workshop you will be required to present training a number of times. Good communication and computer skills are required to enable you to complete this Cluster. This Cluster is also the pre-requisite for those without any adult teaching qualifications who want to teach general courses with Macarthur Community College. Tutors are selected, trained, skilled, qualified and aware of the needs of participants. If there is a problem, speak to the Tutor and/or the Co-ordinator first. If your problem remains unsolved, or you do not feel comfortable, call the College office and discuss the matter with our friendly staff. ELIGIBILITY FOR NSW GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISED TRAINING As part of the NSW Government s Smart and Skilled program the College has funds available for subsidised training for part qualifications for eligible persons. Fees vary from $0 to $80 (full concessions) to slightly higher fees, depending on eligibility and the number of units you enrol in. If you are eligible, this training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Courses available under this subsidised training include: Basic Business/Office Skills, Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical), Certificate III in General Education for Adults (CGEA Reading and Writing Courses), Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care, Digital Technology for Newbies and Medical Terminology.
