Visit mnsu.edu/starid Wireless Internet Access MavNET is Minnesota State Mankato s campus-wide wireless network. To log in, enter your StarID and password when prompted after selecting MavNET-Encrypted (the most secure network) on your computer or other wireless device. Check Your Campus Email Often Students will receive important information on classes, financial aid, direct deposit and other University notifications via their campus email, MavMAIL. You can access your MavMAIL through the web-based email client and use your StarID to log in. Get Alerts Emergency Text Message Alerts: Star Alert Star Alert is our Emergency Notification System. It allows campus community members to receive text and email notifications in the event of campus-related emergencies. A Star Alert message will briefly state the location and nature of the emergency, and may include a specific action to take. Star Alert will also be used to notify you if campus is closed or if classes are delayed or canceled. You will be prompted to sign up for this optin service after you sign into E-services, or you can subscribe by changing your campus account manually at mnsu.edu/password. Get Access Computer Access for Students The Academic Computer Center (ACC) offers computer access to students. More than 400 computers are available to use in the main lab located at 117 Wissink Hall, with another 450 computers across campus in specialized satellite labs. Machines are equipped with the latest hardware and software applications, and student helpers are available to assist you. Some are restricted for searches, but others are available for your use on school projects or Internet research. Whether a course is taken online or face-to-face, D2L Brightspace is used to deliver content and supplemental materials.
