CountEasy Retail Advanced Configuration Manual The CountEasy TM advanced configuration options affect the function and operation of the machine. They are options that are not normally required to get CountEasy TM working but do allow for more detailed configuration to be carried out as well as providing future proofing features. It is not advisable to change any of the settings of the CountEasy TM advanced configuration unless you fully understand the instructions and the implications of changing each option. ENTERING ADVANCED SETUP LEVEL 2 Press and hold down the (down) button and the button at the same time for about 4-5 seconds. The screen will momentarily display SETUP and will then read GRAMS? Now press and hold down the (down) button and the button at the same time again for about 4-5 seconds. The screen will momentarily display SETUP 2 and will then read GRAMS? COUNTEASY TM ADVANCED SETUP LEVEL 2 OPTIS In addition to the Setup Level 1 options as detailed above, the Setup level 2 options are as follows: - NOTE ENABLE? - NOTE WEIGHT? - COIN ENABLE? - COIN WEIGHT? - PACK SIZE? - PACK TOLERANCE? - SET LINE? - CALIBRATE 500g? - RESET OPTIS? - LOAD CURRENCY? NOTE ENABLE? This menu option allows you to switch and OFF individual note denominations. If a note is it will be selectable via the button and will be included in any auto-scroll sequence. If a note is OFF it will not be selectable via the button and will not appear in the auto-scroll sequence. This feature along with the duplicate set of notes marked with a * provides future proofing where notes of the same denomination but of a different weight enter and/or leave circulation and where a pre-set number of completely new denominations enter circulation. It will also allow you to switch OFF specific denominations that you may not count in your operation. As and when there may be a requirement to use the above configuration option due to the above scenarios further instructions will be added to the CountEasy TM website. To enter NOTE ENABLE press the button when the display reads NOTE ENABLE? To select a particular denomination press the button when the required denomination is displayed. button to select either or OFF and then press the button to select the option required. NOTE WEIGHT? This menu option allows you to adjust each individual note centre weight through the keyboard within the range 0.500g and 9.999g. It is important to note that if the centre weight is changed the internal learnt weight is automatically reset to the same as the new centre weight so any learning that has previously taken place is forgotten. This option offers future proofing where there are changes to existing note weights and for new note weights to be set up. To enter NOTE WEIGHT press the button when the display reads NOTE WEIGHT? To select to change the weight of a note denomination press the displayed. button when the required denomination is

button to adjust the note weight to the required setting and then press the button to accept the new weight. COIN ENABLE? This menu option allows you to switch and OFF individual coin denominations. If a coin is it will be selectable via the button and will be included in any auto-scroll sequence. If a coin is OFF it will not be selectable via the button and will not appear in the auto-scroll sequence. This menu option allows you to adjust each individual coin center weight through the keyboard within the range 0.500g and 9.999g. This option offers future proofing where there are changes to existing coin weights and for new coin weights to be set up. To enter COIN WEIGHT press the button when the display reads COIN WEIGHT? To select to change the weight of a coin denomination press the displayed. button when the required denomination is button to adjust the coin weight to the required setting and then press the button to accept the new weight.

PACK SIZE? The changing of this menu option does not have any affect on the Setup of the CountEasy TM Retail machine it is for use in the CountEasy TM Bank machine. PACK TOLERANCE? The changing of this menu option does not have any affect on the Setup of the CountEasy TM Retail machine it is for use in the CountEasy TM Bank machine. SET LINE? This menu option allows CountEasy TM Retail to enter online mode whereby it will communicate with a host computer. This option is as standard set to OFF and should not be changed without first consulting with the CountEasy TM helpdesk the number for which can be found on the label on the underneath of the machine. CALIBRATE 500g? This menu option allows CountEasy TM Retail to be completely recalibrated using a calibrated 500g weight or two full bags of 20p s that also weigh 500g. You should only ever recalibrate your CountEasy TM with a 500g weight as a last resort after all other possible reasons for the machine miscounting have been exhausted refer to the Frequently Asked Questions / Troubleshooting Guide on the CountEasy TM website on the CountEasy TM Downloads page. To enter CALIBRATE 500g press the button when the display reads CALIBRATE 500g? IF YOU HAVE A CALIBRATED 500g WEIGHT. Follow the screen prompts as detailed below: EMPTY HOD? Make sure there is nothing on the hod and then press the Place the calibrated 500g weight directly onto the machine s hod and then press the Remove the 500g weight from the machine s hod and press the DE and will then read: Place the 500g weight back on the machine s hod. The display will now show a weight which should be 500g or within ± 0.2grams. Remove the 500g weight from the hod and then press the button

Now recalibrate the FlexiCup TM or alternative weighing vessel and all other packs used and then test the machine again. If CountEasy TM is still inaccurate then contact the CountEasy TM Helpdesk, the number for which can be found on the label on the bottom of the machine. IF YOU HAVE A TWO (2) FULL BAGS OF 20p s (Qty: 100). Please note it must be two (2) full bags of 20 pence pieces, a quantity of 100 and not any other denomination. Follow the screen prompts as detailed below: EMPTY HOD? Place the empty FlexiCup TM or alternate weighing vessel onto the machine s hod and then press the OK. button to Empty the two (2) full bags of 20p s into the FlexiCup TM (they must be loose not still in their bags) and then press the Remove the FlexiCup TM or alternate weighing vessel containing the 20p s from the machine s hod and then press the DE and will then read: Press the button to skip this prompt. Now recalibrate the FlexiCup TM or alternative weighing vessel and all other packs used refer to the CountEasy TM Retail Configuration Manual supplied with the machine and then test the machine again. If CountEasy TM Retail is still inaccurate then contact the Helpdesk, the number for which can be found on the label on the underneath of the machine. RESET OPTIS? This menu option allows you to reset all of the OPTIS? and the CUP calibration to their original factory default settings as shown below. Please be aware that when you choose to RESET OPTIS this does not affect the currency settings.

COUNTEASY TM RETAIL FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS OPTI FACTORY SETTINGS Language? GBR Coin Packs? Roll + Bag Auto Add? Auto Scroll? CUP? SOUND? CALIBRATE CUP? 58.50g * The FlexiCup TM supplied with your CountEasy TM Retail will have already been pre-calibrated. To enter RESET OPTIS press the button when the display reads RESET OPTIS? To RESET OPTIS press the DE The options will now be reset to the factory default settings. LOAD CURRENCY? This menu option allows you to re-load the factory data for the currency being used or to load the data for a different currency i.e. changing from using the CountEasy TM to count Sterling to count Euros. It is important that you are aware that loading a currency will destroy any learning that has taken place, any pack calibration that has been done and any changes that have been carried out to center weights and note and coin enables. LOAD CURRENCY however does not affect the OPTIS settings or the calibration of the CUP. To enter LOAD CURRENCY press the button when the display reads LOAD CURRENCY? button to scroll through the currency options: STERLING, EURO or USADOLLAR. To select to change the currency press the button when the required currency is displayed. PLEASE WAIT CountEasy TM will now be set to count the currency you selected. You should now re-calibrate any PACKS that are to be used.
