Right-click on this icon and choose Show Status The McAfee Endpoint Encryption Client Status window will appear and there should already be a synchronisation occurring which you can see by the Client Status Log updating. If the sync is not running already please click on the Synchronize button so that your machine starts to pull down all of the relevant configuration from our servers, this process can take up to 15 minutes DO NOT reboot your machine at this stage, it is critical that this process completes uninterrupted, but only on the first synchronisation. 13 Reboot your machine again When your machine reboots the McAfee Endpoint Encryption Pre-boot screen will be shown you will now need to authenticate to your machine before Windows will start. We purposefully do not encrypt the drive automatically to make it is easier to troubleshoot any issues you may have at the installation stage. 6. Turning on encryption However, we will contact you in approximately one week via to confirm with you that you are happy with your installation and everything seems to be running smoothly. The will contain a Yes and No button for you to select to tell us whether to go ahead and encrypt your drive or not. We will not take action until we hear from you. If however you would like us to encrypt your drive in advance of the 7 day notification please feel to log back into the DPMS2 website and click on the Set Encryption button: The encryption process itself is completely transparent and you will not notice it happening.
