Students will become virtual employees and will be learning within a replicated Industrial Emergency Medic environment, with simulated drills, exercises and industry specific scenarios. The interactive and hands-on nature of the course will ensure that students are well prepared to deliver medical aid when back in their own workplace settings. The course is also setup in modules, meaning that students can complete in a timeframe that suits them and their employer. Due to the practical nature of the face to face replicated work environment, the majority of the theory is delivered electronically via St John s online pre-learning portal. Enrolment should be a minimum of six weeks prior to attending the virtual workplace as there is a requirement to complete the essential pre-learning and assessment during this time. Recognition of Prior Learning VET Credit Transfer is a transfer of already completed units of competency to the current qualification, while Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal assessment of gained skills and knowledge.
