Thus, as far as pssible, we shuld allw them t pursue their areas f interest. Schls ffer a range f c-curricular prgrammes t help students achieve a hlistic educatin. Cmmunity service is als invaluable in helping students develp qualities such as care, cncern and respect fr thers in sciety. Students will be recgnised with levels f attainment in fur dmains: Participatin, Achievement, Leadership and Service. LEAPS 2.0 DOMAINS Participatin This dmain recgnises students participatin in ne schl-based 2 C-Curricular Activity (CCA). Recgnitin is based n the number f years f participatin and exemplary cnduct and active cntributin 3 t the CCA. Sustained engagement in the same CCA allws fr prgressive develpment f character, skills, knwledge and friendships, and will be accrded higher recgnitin. Service This dmain recgnises students develpment as scially respnsible citizens wh cntribute meaningfully t the cmmunity. Every secndary schl student will cntribute at least 6 hurs per schl year t the cmmunity. They can chse t embark n a Values-In-Actin prject (VIA). Students will be recgnised fr the time they put int planning, service and reflectin, when participating in a VIA prject. Leadership This dmain recgnises students leadership develpment. Recgnitin is accrded t students ability t take charge f persnal develpment, wrk in a team and assume respnsibilities in service f thers. In additin t frmal leadership appintments, participatin in student leadership mdules/wrkshps, the Natinal Yuth Achievement Award (NYAA) and leadership psitins in the schl, CCA r student-initiated/student-led prjects will als be recgnised. Achievement This dmain recgnises students representatin and accmplishment in c-curricular invlvements beynd the classrm. Opprtunities fr representatin and accmplishment present valuable learning experiences fr students t learn discipline, resilience and develp their character. Students may represent the schl r rganisatins endrsed by the schl. Recgnising external pprtunities better caters t students diverse interests and talents. It als recgnises the cmmunity s rle in develping the child. Representatin refers t being selected and endrsed by the schl r an rganisatin endrsed by the schl (e.g. the cmmunity club r natinal assciatin) t cntribute, perfrm r cmpete. The level f attainment will be cnverted t a bnus pint(s) which can be used fr admissin t Junir Clleges/ Plytechnics/ Institutes f Technical Educatin (JC/Ply/ITE).
