5 Testing fr Cmpetencies The SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams will include a cmbinatin f cmpetency-based and knwledge-riented questins. Candidates fr the SHRM-CP exam will have 3 t 3-1/2 hurs t answer a ttal f 160 questins (90 knwledge/40 situatinal judgment/30 field test items). Candidates fr the SHRM-SCP exam will have 3-1/2 t 4 hurs t answer a ttal f 180 questins (90 knwledge/60 situatinal judgment/30 field test items). SHRM will utilize Situatinal Judgment (SJ) items (r questins) t assess cmpetencies. Credential hlders will cmplete a simple three-step prcess: 1. Agree t abide by the SHRM Cde f Ethics; 2. Affirm that yu hld a valid HR credential; and 3. Cmplete the nline tutrial n HR cmpetencies. Hlders f credentials like PHR & HRBP* will be eligible fr: Hlders f senir-level credentials like SPHR, GPHR, & HRMP* will be eligible fr: Yu are nt required t give up yur existing credentials.
