In order of increasing quality these are as follows: Ad-Hoc Machine Translation: With or without a dictionary. This gives you a gist of the document usually sufficient to be understood. It provides an alternative to purchasing a Translution Business license when you just want ad-hoc machine translation. Light Post Editing: Our translators edit machine translation. This can provide good enough quality particularly if a dictionary has been first created. However it should not normally be commissioned if you require publishing quality of translation. Professional Translation: Top quality professional translation at a very competitive price. Translate, Edit, Review: Our best quality translation. Cultural and contextual perfect translation created by two professional translators working together. Translution Web Translution Web Translution Web provides customers with a fixed price for the standard implementation of your internationalized website based on the number of pages and number of languages. Following implementation, many customers also license Translution File Manager. This tracks on-going changes you may make to web files, ensuring your language pages reflect your source language website.you may also require Translution Database Translator if your website is largely dynamic i.e. most of your content is in a database. Implementation of your international website using Translution Web can either be undertaken by Translution or by your own web developer: If implemented by the customer s web developer we will provide: Technical documentation on best practice implementation. Support and advice throughout the implementation period. A project kick off meeting to review and agree language navigation, file directory structure, type of language bars, deployment and any questions relating to the technical documentation. Sample code to assist with implementation. Your pages translated using machine translation. This is required for st stage functional testing. We include up to 50,000 machine translated words. Additional machine translated words over 50,000 are chargeable (see below) If implemented by Translution we provide full project management plus: A complete "turnkey" implementation of your multi-lingual website, which meets the specifications agreed during the project kick off meeting. Your international website will be fully tested and meet localization best practice. It will also be search engine friendly. We will ensure that site maps and robot.txt files are provided for each language so that you can submit these to search engines. The implementation costs do not include the costs of professional translation. This will be quoted separately and is largely determined by the number of words requiring translation and the number of languages. The implementation costs also do not include the cost of customizing and testing server side code which calls data from your database or database store procedures. Dictionary and Glossary Creation Dictionary and Glossary Creation Dictionaries improve both machine translation quality and human translation quality. Glossaries are much smaller. They aid translators when translating through the use of your previously approved terminology. However they are too small to have much impact on the quality of machine translation. We recommend that you invest in creating a dictionary when one or more of the following applies. You have licensed Translution Business or Translution Machine Translation API and wish to improve the quality of the machine translation You have licensed Translution Localization Manager for use by your own teams of translators and wish to improve the productivity of your translators. Where this is undertaken, there is an hourly review charge of 50 per hour to review and edit terms in the new target language (minimum charge 00) A 000 term dictionary should normally be sufficient to improve machine translation quality. A bigger dictionary is normally recommended for technical translation or for large websites. Translution can recommend the size of dictionary required after reviewing your requirements. Files monitored include pages, images, multi-media, scripts and downloads. It is normally implemented when your international website is first deployed. When a change to a source language web files is noted, Translution compare the file with the previous version to determine whether any translation is required. We then advise you, commission the translations, rebuild the file with new translations and deploy the file to your website. Translution Web File manager thus provides organizations with a comprehensive service that ensures your translated web files are synchronized with your source language web files. It enables you to focus on updating the source language files rather than having to worry about the translations. Translution File Translator is charged based on the number of checks we make annually as shown in the table below. The service plan cost shown do not include professional translation costs. Please note that minimum charges for translation may apply if the quantity of words that need translating per language falls below approximately 500 (this number can vary dependent on language.) Translution Database Translator Translution Database Translator Translution Database Translator is a powerful web application which enables database administrators/ web developers to configure and extend their database tables (MYSQL or Microsoft SQL server currently) to store translated content. As the database tables are updated (either directly, by visitors or via your content management system), Translution Database Translator checks whether any translation is required and then requests the translation.. Integrated with Translution Machine Translation API (for machine translation) and with Translution Localization Manager (for human translation), once the translations have been completed, your tables are automatically updated with the translated content. Translution Database Translator is unique. We are not aware of any other database translation software with its capabilities and flexability. It will save development, implementationa and on-going costs of managing an international website. If you wish to employ your own translators to translate, you will also require a license for Translution Localization Manager. If you commission Translution to deliver the human translated content there is no need to license Localization Manager.
