Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.78% or 282.1 points at 16167.23. Nasdaq Composite was up 1.9% or 49.18 points at 4567.67 Standard &Poor's 5 was up 1.41% or 26.55 points at 193.63. Indian equity market managed to close in green on Monday amid selling pressure at the higher level. Though the firm global cues led robust start which further supported by recovery in rupee in early trade but cautiousness among the participants ahead of US FOMC meet capped the upside as the session progressed. Brent Crude recovered smartly from the low of below $3/bbl. Nifty ended the previous day with a gain of.18% or 13.7 points at 7436.15. On Monday s trading session, FIIs sold net Rs.91.15 Cr in cash market and bought Rs.35.45 in derivative segment. Whereas, DII bought net Rs.37.89 Cr in cash segment.
