Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, PT facility managers, Compliance officers and reimbursement personnel interested in efficient reimbursement and compliance with payer and regulatory requirements in the delivery of physical therapy services. Speakers: Sandra McCuen, PT Sandy is currently the Reimbursement Specialist for the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association. In this role she is a reimbursement resource for the PPTA members and to Pennsylvania regulators and payers. She is also a partner in Galletta McCuen Rehab Compliance Consultants, providing consultation and audit services to rehab providers, auditing firms and provider legal counsel. Sandy has spoken throughout Pennsylvania and nationally to provider, payer and regulatory enforcement groups. Her areas of expertise are regulations for rehab practice, coding and billing, documentation, and fraud and abuse in rehab practice. Carole S. Galletta, PT, MPH Carole is Chair of the Insurance Relations Committee for the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association, a member of the Private Practice, Geriatric, Women s Health and Health Care Policy and Administration Sections of the APTA. She is a partner in Galletta McCuen Rehab Compliance Consultants, providing consultation and audit services to rehab providers, auditing firms and provider legal counsel. She provides practice management consulting for rehabilitation services and physical therapy practices in the areas of compliance and reimbursement. Carole is an assistant professor and part-time faculty member in the DPT program at Slippery Rock University and lectures in the areas of Health Care Systems and Policy, Legal and Ethical issues, Business Practices and Compliance and Reimbursement.
