We ll get you up and running fast! Carefully remove your SIM card from its holder, found in your SIM pack, and place it into your mobile phone. Your SIM card holder contains your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Personal Unlocking Number (PUK) codes so be sure to keep it in a safe place for future reference. Remember your Digicel mobile number and tell all your friends and family to call you on your Digicel phone. If you forget your number, simply dial *129# from your phone to display your number. Managing your phone and SIM card Charging your phone It is recommended that you fully charge your phone battery with the charger provided before use. For best battery performance, wait for the battery to go completely empty before recharging as this allows you to get longer talk times on your phone. Convenience with Digicel Digicel Prepaid allows you to stay in control. There are many ways to Top Up: using Digicel Prepaid cards; at the ATM; electronically at Top Up kiosks; phone to phone, or by going online at www.digicelbermuda. com. You can also do so at any Digicel store or at a wide range of retail stores and vendors island wide. Now let s start talking! Making a call Making a local call is easy. Simply enter the 7-digit phone number and press send. Making an international call is also quick and easy. To make international calls while in Bermuda, follow these simple steps: USA, Canada or any other North American Numbering Plan (NANP) country: Dial 1 + area code + telephone number (e.g. 1-212-555-1212) UK or another international destination or non-nanp country: Dial 011 + country code + telephone number (e.g. 011-44-224-555-1212) Voicemail Digicel s voicemail service is easy to use and FREE from your Digicel mobile phone. It s your 24 hour answering service that automatically takes a message for you when your phone is in use, switched off, or when you can t answer your phone. It s as easy as 1-2-3! Don t want to talk? Send a text instead! Sending a text You can send text messages to any network, local or international. To start a text message, follow these simple steps: 1. Look for the message icon on the home screen of your phone 2. Go to Compose Message 3. Enter the number of the person to whom you wish to send the message 4. Type your message and press SEND Local text messages cost 10 per outgoing text. International text messages cost 25 per outgoing text. To access voicemail, simply dial 123 and follow the prompts. The first time you access your voicemail, you will be asked to personalise it with your name and password. To access your voicemail from overseas: dial +1-441-508-6245. Managing your phone and SIM card PIN and PUK Codes If the wrong PIN 1 code is entered three (3) times, a SIM Locked message will appear on your phone screen. If this happens, enter your PUK 1 code. If the wrong PUK 1 code is entered ten (10) times, your SIM card will no longer work and you will need to get a replacement SIM card. Your PIN 2 and PUK 2 codes are also provided and may be needed for future Digicel services. Remember these numbers are for your protection, so store your SIM card holder in a safe place. Lost or barred SIM If you have lost or barred your SIM card, you will need to purchase a new SIM with a new phone number. 9 2
