1 Master Munich Business School Information about the study program MASTER The MASTER program at Munich Business School offers the perfect continuation for your undergaduate degree in economic sciences. Its broad range of in-depth study courses, its international orientation and practice-oriented content guarantee the best possible preparation for our graduates to launch a successful professional career. Our MASTER in is a business study program that can be put together according to indiviual strenghts and interests. Our students choose from and combine two of altogether six concentrations with an international focus connected to a foreign language. The study program is taught in German and English (German Track) or exclusively in English (English Track). As an integral part of the international study program, our students spend one or two semesters abroad at one of our renowned partner universities and optionally do internships in Germany and abroad. In this context, we offer a choice between the Single Degree and Dual Degree study option. We place highest priority on the advancement of our students personality and leadership skills. 2 Munich Business School Program Structure And Study Contents The MASTER at Munich Business School is a postgraduate study program in economics addressed to qualified and motivated Bachelor graduates from Germany and abroad. In addition to offering content on complex global developments and imparting profound business know-how, the advancement of personality and leadership skills form a key focus of the course. The program is a full-time study program with a standard study time of approximately 18 months (Dual Degrees approx. 24 months). The first two semesters will be spent at MBS. You will delve into selected specializations in business and economics, and select an international focus and, optionally, another foreign language. The third semester will take place abroad at one of our partner universities. There s also the opportunity to do an internship before spending the semester abroad. The program ends with a Master-Thesis, often written in cooperation with a company. Upon completion of all program parts, the Master s Degree is awarded. You can acquire another specialized Master s Degree at one of our partner universities as part of the Dual Degree program. To obtain this degree, you will spend two semesters abroad. 5 MASTER Comprehensive And Versatile The MASTER offers a mix of indepth business know-how and individual, subject specific and international concentrations. Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Family Firms, Corporate Strategy and Innovation or Luxury Management each concentration provides thorough insights into the challenges of the specific careers and industries and offers excellent preparation for the executive tasks and leadership duties of the international economy. The International Focus will additionally familiarize you with the developments and the perspectives of the relevant economic region. An International Highlight The Semester Abroad A central element of the MASTER program is the semester abroad at one of our over 50 partner universities worlwide. Whether in the U.S., China, Australia or Mexico for our students, such a stay always remains unforgettable. To all committed Master students, we offer a special option: Our Dual Degree programs! You will have the opportunity to acquire two full Master s Degrees in only one additional semester. The International Center at MBS will support you in choosing the right university and assist you in compiling your documents for the study abroad program. Practice-Oriented And Customized The MBS lecturers and professors not only know the business world from books on the contrary: It is a part of our teaching philosophy that only experts experienced in everyday business life teach current and practiceoriented content and methods. The Business Project is one example for the practical relevance of the study program. It grants our students the opportunity to implement a specific economic project in cooperation with a company. Thus, the acquired knowledge is applied and expanded to a specific case, however within a small group. All groups receive coaching from an MBS professor throughout the entire duration of the 8-month project period. The Career Center at MBS advises and actively supports our students in all questions regarding internship placement, application matters and starting a job. How To Apply requirements First requirement for admission to the Master study program is an above-average degree in business (NC 2.5, IB share min. 50%) from an accredited university in Germany or abroad. Upon request, we will gladly verify your documents in advance. Applicants who do not meet these criteria may previously apply to the PRE-MASTER International Business program offered from June to August.
