The NIT curriculum includes fundamental general management courses such as economics, finance or business strategy. Work-compatible MBA NIT s MBA program is designed to be studied part-time in Hamburg, with classes in the evenings, on the weekends, and during two four-week spring schools, offered in March and February of the first and second years, respectively. For students already employed in the industry, up to 10 working days a year may count as educational leave ( Bildungsurlaub ). Since our MBA program is demanding, please consider involving your employer in your postgraduate education. You will start with a challenging first semester, but the workload decreases after the first spring school. You will be equipped for the increasingly complex task of managing teams and corporations in a digitalized, internationalized world. This track covers topics such as technology assessment and acquisition, quality management and current challenges and trends in technology management. E-Track: Entrepreneurial Management Become an entrepreneur! NIT s E-Track follows the entrepreneurial process from idea generation to detailed business planning and execution which is applicable to startups and established companies alike. You will gain skills for starting and growing new ventures by working on real projects, supported by dedicated courses and real-world industry challenges. Master s Thesis The Master s thesis topic can be an academic subject derived from the NIT course work or a challenging problem from industry that offers good approaches for accompanying research. In the E-Track, the thesis usually takes the form of a business plan. In either case, the thesis allows you to apply scientific methods and findings and follow defined research objectives. The master s thesis is typically written during the second year of the study program in three (full-time) to six (part-time) months. Work Project / Internship Being immersed in an industry setting deepens the understanding of all topics introduced in the study program. In the 12-week work project or internship you are able to test and apply newly acquired knowledge and skills in a real-life practical context.
