The goal of the Master programme International Business and (M.A.) is to provide the necessary key qualifications as well as up-to-date management knowledge. This is to empower the students to successfully fulfil any requirements set for employees This is possible through an intensive relation to practical experience on the one hand and through a great degree of internationality regarding the composition of the study group as well as the teaching content, language and study places, on the other hand. The programme, taught in English, provides broad and well-grounded business-management knowledge. Nine modules called key competencies offer the opportunity to discuss key challenges for international in specialized and leading positions in international management at an advanced level. 4 â TARGET GROUP Graduate statements The study programme addresses German and international applicants with an above-average Bachelor degree in business management or economics, who wish to prepare themselves for a career in internationally operating companies or organizations. The master programme International Business and provides knowledge which, builds on acquired knowledge and abilities from previous studies. Particular emphasis is accorded to in-depth studies with a focus on international management enhanced by further teaching areas. The studies can be commenced directly following the graduation of a business management or economicsrelated study programme. It is also possible to start the programme after having gained some work experience, as is the case for about 20% of our students. In general, the average age of our students is around 24 years. Most of the students finish the master programme within the allocated time of four semesters and are successfully employed after only short periods of application procedures. The lectures at Hochschule Osnabrück were always thought-provoking and the professors and staff showed high levels of enthusiasm and dedication to the students. 5 â DETAILS OF THE STUDY PROGRAMME The duration of the Master s programme M.A. International Business and is 4 semesters in full time study. Further central aspects of the studies are the management competence and the internationality. The key competences include the courses Global Economic Framework, Human Resource in Multinational Companies, International Marketing, Value Chain and International Economics, International Corporate Finance, Strategic, IT and Information, International Business Law, and Advanced Accounting. The course Teambuilding and Leadership Training provides for an excellent opportunity to practice social and communication skills. Further courses in the area of General Competences are Business Ethics and Empirical Social Research. From a number of possible electives, students choose a specialization in accordance with their interests. Here the students pick two electives from those offered by the faculty, which are combined to form a specialization. Specialization I Markets & Processes is interesting for all those students with an affinity for Marketing and Supply Chain. Specialization II Human Resources & Change will prepare the students optimally for careers in the areas of Human Resource. Specialization III International offers the English electives of Doing business in International Markets and Consulting. An overview of the recommended combinations can be found on the following page. If students are interested in acquiring further language skills alongside studying, language courses of different levels are offered for these languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch, Chinese, Arabic, and German as a foreign language. Students can take part in language teaching classes or conversation courses. Additionally, students are supported by the Career Centre during their studies. A broad range of seminars, soft-skill trainings and lectures is offered to provide the students with optimum support in making the transfer from studying to working. Further assistance in this context is offered in the form of trainings for resume writing and job interviews. 8 9

This final paper can be written in cooperation with a company or organization. First contacts and ideas for such cooperations can be made throughout various projects during the first semesters.
