1 Bard f Directrs Meeting at Webster University Nvember 27, 2012 ~ Meeting Minutes ~ Call t Order and Welcme Cnsent Agenda The Bard meeting was called t rder at 6:00 pm by President, Terri Grening. Bard members present were: Lynne Tuccy, Kamala Prahl, Melanie Hancck and Kathy Buchard. Nt present: Renee Bergman, Matt Westerman, Jennifer Stevens, and Mey Vidal-Paredes. Guests: Cherie Mney, Jennifer Seavey, Lisa Byers, Kay Hustn, Marie Grazisi, Heather Smith, Pat Mathews, Susan Neaves, Lisa Eding, Enid Jack and Justine Amdur. Mtin t apprve the cnsent agenda, which included: Apprval f new members as submitted by Ms. Hancck (see list fllwing minutes) Minutes Octber 2, as submitted by Ms. Buchard September and Octber financials as submitted by Mr. Westerman made by Ms. Buchard, secnded by Ms. Tuccy. All in favr, mtin carried Old Business and Bard Updates President Ms. Grening reprted the fllwing: The December Bard meeting will be held n December 4 th at Travesi, the restaurant at Ringling museum. Heather Vgel will be inducting the new 2013 SHRA Bard at the December 7 th member meeting. Dnatins f canned gds will be accepted fr All Faiths Fd Bank. Members wh dnate will receive raffle tickets fr drawings fr $25 gift cards. Ten gift cards will be purchased fr give aways. Ms. Grening will be wrking with Ms. Bergman n finalizing the SHAPE reprt t submit t. She is finalizing membership numbers t determine if SHRA qualifies fr platinum status (increase SHRA membership with membership by 3%). If we qualify, she will cntact all Bard members t make the $25 dnatin t the Fundatin. Discussed the Embracing Our Differences Spnsrship. Ms. Grening suggested the 2013 Bard cnsider PR fr next year and hw the spnsrship will fit in t the 2013 initiatives. President Elect Discussin Tpics Ms. Tuccy reprted the fllwing: The 2013 HR Flrida Leadership cnference will be held at the Renaissance Htel in Orland n January 11. SHRA will pay fr htel and mileage expense. It is a great pprtunity t netwrk with ther HR Prfessinal vlunteers frm all ver Flrida. All Bard members and Cmmittee Chairs were encuraged t attend. SHRA needs a widget fr the new website fr the RSS feed. Ms. Tuccy mtined t apprve $299 t purchase the widget. Ms. Buchard secnded. All in favr; mtin passed. Ms. Tuccy distributed the training schedule fr the new Members 360 website. There are live webinars as well as distance training available. SHRA 50 th Anniversary PR Budget There was much discussin arund the budget fr prmting SHRA s 50 th Anniversary. The Bard reviewed a prpsal submitted by Brand Eleven Eleven fr $2,100. The prpsal included press kit/press releases, website/internet prmtin, graphic design, direct mail, and event supprt. The price was discunted $900 frm the $3,000 per sectin fee. Ms. Buchard made a mtin t apprve up t $2,100 fr PR fr SHRA s 50 th Anniversary. Ms. Prahl secnded the mtin. All in favr; mtin passed.
