Why are Teams s imprtant??: Simply, Walk Teams are the mst effective way f recruiting walkers t fundraise. Crprate Teams are a way t reach a large numbers f peple wh understand the team cncept. Family Teams prvide a way t harness the passin and pwer f the HD Cmmunity. What is the ne thing I can d this year t build my teams??? Manage yur teams t success. 8

9 Abut Team Management? Team Management is hw we help ur teams reach their gals and begins as sn as a Team Captain registers. It is a way t help yur teams recruit mre walkers and raise mre mney. Part 1 invlves helping them t set a gal and create a plan t achieve it. Part 2 invlves helping them t implement their plan. Tday, we want t fcus n Gal Setting & Planning as if this is dne with every team, we wuld see at least a 15% grwth in revenue. 9

Wrap Events - Use these team r custmer fundraising events like a bake sale t bst yur bucks! Vendr Pledge Letter Ask yur rganizatin t ask their vendrs t participate r spnsr the team. Use Team Incentives Use incentives t increase walker recruitment and fundraising. Design a team T-shirt that each team member can wear at the Walk. Have incentives that recgnize yur tp captain and fundraiser. Make incentives fun such as: use f the President s parking space, a day ff r a dept. pizza party. 12
