Introducing Wound Care Physicians Dr. Han Hulen and Dr. A.J. Nguyen Dr. Hulen is board certified in internal medicine, infectious disease medicine and undersea and hyperbaric medicine, Dr. Hulen specializes in wound care and hyperbaric medicine in her private practice. Dr. Hulen is a Co-Chair for the Dallas Chapter of Save A Leg Save A Life, a non-profit organization that promotes limb salvage and preventing amputations in diabetic foot ulcers. Dr. Hulen received her undergraduate degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and attended medical school at the Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock. She completed an internal medicine residency at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Hulen went on to an infectious disease/hiv medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. A.J. Nguyen was Director of Wound Care for the 2010 Han Pham Hulen, M.D. Haiti Relief Mission. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and the Vietnamese American Medical Association, among others. Dr. Nguyen received both undergraduate and medical degrees from Texas A&M University in College Station. He then went on to complete an internship in general surgery at Staten Island University Hospital in New York as well as residencies in family medicine at Baylor University and wound care and hyperbaric medicine at Ohio State University. Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Hulen will begin providing advanced wound care April 8, 2013.

5 All Clinical Staff: Prepare Now for the Standardized MEDITECH System by Refreshing your EMR Skills All Clinical Staff: Prepare Now for the Standardized MEDITECH System by Refreshing your EMR Skills Correction to article that ran on 4/30: the name of the elearning course is MEDITECH EMR Refresher Over the past few years, we ve made impressive strides toward clinical performance improvement by leveraging best practices from our staff. We ve seen the benefits of this work in the quality of care we provide to our patients. Now, Information Sophistication is laying the technological foundation to leverage best practices from across the System so we can offer our patients a truly integrated network with fewer clinical errors, increased efficiency and improved outcomes. As a first step toward Information Sophistication, we are asking all clinical staff to take a brief, 15 minute MEDITECH EMR Refresher elearning course on HealthStream to brush up on skills that are a prerequisite for training on the Standardized MEDITECH system. Below are instructions for accessing this required training: Step One: Go to HealthStream under the Education section on the CareNet homepage. Step Two: Login with your Employee ID number (6 digits); your password is comply Step Three: In HealthStream, go to the My Learning section Step Four: Click on the blue MEDITECH EMR Refresher link to begin the training.
