Get your tickets at the front desk, or by calling the office at Tickets will not be sold the day of. Don t forget, the Raffle for Riches drawing will also be on this night. You don t need to be present to win, but we encourage you to purchase a dinner ticket for this Fabulous 50 s time! Art & Wine Show Thursday, July 16th From: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Location: The Vintage 2145 W. Kettleman Ln The Vintage will be hosting an Art & Wine Show to benefit LOEL Senior Center. You ll enjoy free wine tasting, hors d oeuvers and art displays. Raffle tickets will be sold for wine baskets and art. Admission is free. All proceeds benefit LOEL. 3 Let's Have Lunch At LOEL! Monday-Friday starting at 11:30 a.m. LOEL s Senior Lunch Program is open to those 60 years of age and older who live in San Joaquin County. Join us for a hot, delicious, and nutritious meal and socialize with other seniors at the same time! Fundraiser Saturday, September 26th There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal, and we do require reservations be made at least 24 hours in advance. A monthly menu is provided in the newsletter. Call the Lunch Reservation Line at to reserve your seat! Dessert Potluck On Thursday, July 2nd Time: 11:30 a.m. If you would like to bring a dessert to share, a sign-up sheet will be available during our regular lunch hours. Please remember to make your reservation for this day if you are planning on attending lunch & the potluck. You can make your reservation by calling Hope to see you there! 4 Community Falls Prevention Program Falls can be devastating, costly but more importantly, falls can be prevented! Lodi Health is teaming up with The LOEL Senior Center to provide a FREE Fall Prevention Program for older adults in our community. The program offers a team of professionals who will educate, evaluate and share fall prevention strategies with the participant. It is our hope that by offering this fall prevention program, we can reduce falls and help older adults live better, longer lives. Over six weeks, the Lodi Health team will meet with you individually, once a week to Coach you through the program. The Lodi Health team and program includes an orientation followed by a six week program: August 5th - Orientation 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. August 12th Physical Therapy Fall Screen Assessment with our physical therapy team August 19th Wellness/Fitness Coaching Custom exercise program created to enhance balance and strength August 26th Pharmacy Experts Medication Review by the pharmacy team September 2nd Environmental Factors Home environment review with our home health experts September 9th Advanced Health Care Planning Review advance directives with our Social Service staff September 16th Eyesight Vision screening Registration is limited. 6 Blind & Visually Impaired A representative from the Community Center For The Blind & Visually Impaired will be at LOEL on Thursday July, 16th At 10:00 a.m. Find out about programs, tools and recourses available for individuals who struggle with blindness or are visually impaired. There are no fees or sign-ups to attend. Social Security Presentation Thursday, July 30th At 10:00 a.m. A representative from the local social security office will be at LOEL to talk about benefits and to answer questions. Blood Pressure Checks Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Brain Builders This class is for individuals in the early stages of memory loss. The class uses learning tools and techniques to assist in daily living.
