1 HSBCnet Application Guide It s easy to to get get started with with HSBCnet 1. Verify that you meet minimum system system requirements. 2. 2 Minimum System Requirements Software Requirements HSBCnet is designed to work with following browser versions/operating system system components. Operating System Browser Windows 98/98SE IE 5.5 and above Windows NT 4. (SP6) IE 5.5 and above Windows 2000 Pro IE 5.5 and above Windows XP IE 6 and above Indicates that a secure session is in progress. All browser versions must be supported by 128-bit encryption (this is highest level of protection for all internet communications and financial transactions). To check level of security being used double click security padlock at bottom right of browser this will establish level of security being used. The best way to check if you have 128-bit encryption in Internet Explorer is to Click on Help in toolbar, n About Internet Explorer and check cipher strength is 128-bit. If your equipment meets above criteria, n you should have no problems accessing service. However, if re are gaps in your system compatibility, n you can try some of following: Download latest browser from Microsoft website ( Certain versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer may require an additional patch available from to display security status.
