This guide shows how to instll the softwre nd ccessories for the Welch Allyn CrdioPerfect Worksttion on single lptop or desktop PC. This guide does not cover instlltion for networked CrdioPerfect configurtions, for EMR-connected computers, or thin-client settings. For detiled instlltion procedure, see WACP Instlltion, locted on the disc under Browse the mnuls folder. System Requirements You need the following minimum recommended configurtion to work with the CrdioPerfect resting ECG, multory lood pressure, or spirometry softwre modules: Computer Tower or desktop PC preferred; lptop or tlet. Operting System Windows XP service pck 2 or lter; Windows Vist Business Edition, service pck 1 or lter; Windows 7 Home Premium, Professionl, Ultimte; Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro; CPU P4 (or equivlent) or higher Hrd disk 20 GB with 5 GB free spce RAM 512 MB; 1 GB or higher recommended Ports 2 USB ports Monitor size 15" or lrger Monitor resolution 1024 x 768 true color; 1280 x 1024 resolution recommended Other DVD-ROM drive This screen might pper. NEXT STEP: Instll nd verify ll devices tht you hve purchsed: ECG recorder, spirometer, nd/or ABPM 6100 recorder. When finished, plese see the user informtion provided with your product.

5 Instlling the ECG RECORDER on CrdioPerfect Worksttion Before you strt, instll the CrdioPerfect Worksttion softwre. c 5 1 Assemle the ECG recorder, nd then plug it into ny USB port. () () (c) Click Go. Select your test ptient. Click ECG. You will see squre wves long with this messge: Bd signl on Left Leg. 2 Verify the instlltion of the ECG recorder. Welch Allyn CrdioPerfect Attch the ptient cle to the recorder. Attch clips to the ends of the led wires. Strighten lrge metl pper clip. Note Do not using plstic-coted or pinted pper clip. (next pge)

6 6 Attch ll ten led wires to the pper clip. () () Wit t lest 20 seconds for the squre wves to level off. When the lines ecome stright, verify tht there re no led-off messges. Exmple led-off messge: If you receive led-off messge, reconnect the indicted leds, nd wit 20 seconds gin. Repet until there re no led-off messges. Click Record. The system tkes 10-second recording nd returns to the min screen with your recording displyed. You hve now verified tht your ECG recorder is properly instlled.

7 Instlling the SPIROMETER on CrdioPerfect Worksttion Before you strt, instll the CrdioPerfect Worksttion softwre. 1 Assemle the spirometer, nd plug it into ny USB port. () () (c) Click Go. Select your test ptient. Click Spirometry. c 7 Cution With the spirometer, lwys use the USB extension cle, s shown. This cle helps to prevent dmge to the spirometer. 2 Verify the instlltion of the spirometer. Attch the flow tue. Attch the clirtion syringe s illustrted. 8 8 Don t worry if your screen sys ATS stndrd hs NOT een met. You don t need to meet the stndrd for this verifiction. () () Red the instructions on this screen. Click Clirte. Follow the instructions on this screen () () Verify tht you see flow loop. Ech flow loop looks slightly different. Click Done. You hve verified tht your spirometer is communicting with the Worksttion. Before performing spirometry tests, e sure to perform successful clirtion. Push nd then pull the plunger in sync with the sideto-side motion of the lue r. Move stedily, ll the wy in nd then ll the wy out, without hesitting during the stroke.

9 INSTALLING THE ABPM 6100 ON A CARDIOPERFECT WORKSTATION Before you strt, instll the CrdioPerfect Worksttion softwre. The ctul screens you see my pper slightly different thn wht is pictured elow. 9 1 Instll two fresh AA tteries in the recorder. If the recorder is on, turn it off. (Press nd hold the Strt/Stop utton for five seconds until the device emits five quick eeps.) Strt/Stop utton () Select Properties. If you hve Windows XP, continue to step c. If you hve Windows 7 or Windows 8, go to step e. 2 Plug the PC Interfce Cle into USB port on your PC. c Windows XP d (c) (d) Click the Hrdwre t. Click the Device Mnger. Allow Windows to instll the driver. 3 Select the proper CrdioPerfect settings. d Welch Allyn CrdioPerfect () Click this icon. () Click this t. (c) Select the COM numer pproprite for your recorder. Use the numer you previously mde note of in Step 2, (g). (d) Click OK. You cn leve the min screen open. 4 Verify the instlltion of the ABPM 6100 recorder. Attch the cle to the recorder. c () Click Go. () Select your test ptient. (c) Click ABP. (next pge)

11 Disconnect the cle from the recorder. 11 The recorder turns on. (It turns on nd off utomticlly throughout this procedure.) Strt/Stop utton Press the Strt/Stop utton to turn the recorder on. You cn give the recorder ny nme tht you find helpful. Press the Strt/Stop utton gin to strt the BP pump. Press the Strt/Stop utton gin to stop the BP pump. When BP stops, verify tht the recorder displys n error code ( E followed y numer). Press nd hold the Strt/Stop utton until you her series of quick eeps (pproximtely 7 seconds) to turn the recorder off. Attch the cle to the recorder. (next pge) The recorder is redy to tke BP mesurement.
