1 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Q: What are the courses offered for undergraduates i.e. after 10+2? A: Following are the courses offered after 10+2: BSc. Footwear Design & Production 03 Years BSc. Retail & Fashion Merchandise 03 Years BSc. Fashion Leather Accessory Design 03 Years Q: What are the courses offered for graduates? A: The following courses are offered after Graduation : MSc. Footwear Design & Production 02 Years MSc. Retail & Fashion Merchandise 02 Years MSc. Creative Design & CAD/CAM 02 Years All the courses offered by FDDI are collaborated with IGNOU for degrees. Q: I am doing 3 years Diploma course after 10th. Am I eligible for the Under Graduation course? A: Candidates applying for Under Graduation course should have passed or be writing the qualifying examination under the higher secondary (10+2) scheme from any recognized Board of Education such as AISSCE/IB/ICSE/CBSE, or equivalents, during the academic year Q: I am giving my HSC through correspondence, Am I eligible for the FDDI AIST entrance for UG? A: Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with atleast five subjects meets the eligibility criteria. Q: If I am an appearing student of final year, Am I eligible to apply for the courses? A: Yes, candidates appearing for 10+2 and graduation final year may apply for the courses provided; they are required to submit their marksheets before the commencement of the session. Q: How many seats are available in BSc Footwear Design and Production at Noida Campus? A: 60 seats are available in BSc Footwear Design and Production at Noida campus. For more information about allocation of seats at different campuses a candidate can visit FDDI website i.e. APPLICATION Q: What is the procedure and mode of application for admission? A: Applicant can apply via online mode (visit FDDI website) or Offline mode (using printed application form). a) Online Application: Online application form is available at our website There are 2 modes of online payment viz., Credit / Debit Card and Demand Draft. Or

2 b) Offline Application: The Prospectus and application kit is available after 10 days from the opening of online mode at all FDDI Campus viz. Noida, Fursatganj (near Lucknow), Jodhpur, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Rohtak, Guna, Patna, Hyderabad, Ankleshwar (Gujarat) and Chandigarh. What is the procedure for the payment? A: The cost of Prospectus along with Admission Form is 500/. Candidate can make the payment through online mode by visiting FDDI website by using their debit or credit card. Or Prospectus along with the Admission Form can be purchased after 10 days from the opening of online mode from: FDDI Campus at NOIDA, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Rohtak, Jodhpur & Guna. You can send a Demand Draft of 500/ (Rupees Five Hundred only) in favor of "FDDI" payable at New Delhi to FDDI, NOIDA and it will be sent through courier. Do not forget to mention your complete address at the back of the DD also. Q: Do I need to retain the photocopy of the Admission Form? A: Yes, It is mandatory to retain a photocopy of the admission form for future correspondence with FDDI with respect to non receipt of Admit Cards and other queries, if any. Q: Can I use last year application form? A: No. For new session the new application forms will be available at your nearest centres. FINANCIAL AID/SCHOLARSHIPS Q. Which banks have a tie up with FDDI for financial aid to provide education loans? A. FDDI does not have a tie up with any Bank. Candidates will have to approach Banks directly, for any kind of financial aid/educational loans. Q. Are there any scholarships available? A. FDDI provides a limited number of scholarships to financially deserving candidates. Further information on scholarships can be obtained after successful admission to FDDI. FEES Q. What are the tuition fees for B.Sc. & M.Sc. programmes? A. The semester tuition fees for B.Sc. & M.Sc. mentioned underneath:

No request will be entertained for exemption of mess facility for hostellers. Hostel Facilities Q. Does FDDI provide hostel facilities? A. Yes, FDDI offers spacious, hygienic and secure hostel facility for both boys & girls individually. Q. Will students be assisted with outside of campus accommodation? A. FDDI does not assist students with regard to any out of campus accommodation. Students are required to arrange their accommodation outside of campus on their own. Q: Is it mandatory to stay at the institute campus?

4 A: No, it is not mandatory if you arrange your own accommodation outside the premises. FDDI has a fullfledged hostel facility for both boys and girls, which is offered on first come first serve basis. Q. What are the provisions & facilities provided in the hostel room? A. The rooms are spacious and well ventilated. They are equipped with necessary fixtures and furniture. A Bed, chair, table and a cupboard along with locker will be provided to each student. Recreation facilities like TV, Music, indoor and outdoor games are also available. Facilities like clean drinking water, generator power back up, dining halls will be available for students. Admission Process Q: What will be the selection criteria for the admission in FDDI? A: For UG and PG courses you have to undergo an AIST, if you are applying as an Industry sponsored candidate you need not to appear for online test and you will be directly called for counseling. Q: Where would entrance exam held? A: Examination Centers will be allotted on First Come First Serve basis. Aspiring candidates are advised to fill in the Application Form and submit the same at the address given below at the earliest. A: The Online exam comprises of English, Maths, G.K. / General Science and Reasoning. Q: Are sample question papers available? A: A solved sample question paper for FDDI Entrance Examination is available in the prospectus. Q: In case I do not receive my Admit Card till the date of my Examination, what should I do? 5 Q: Can I change my Test Centre for the Examination? A: No, Once the centre is allotted it cannot be changed. Q: Where are the programmes held? A:All long term programmes are conducted at our Noida, Fursatganj (Near Lucknow), Jodhpur, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Rohtak, Guna, Patna, Hyderabad, Ankleshwar (Gujarat), and Chandigarh campus. Q: What is the last date for issue and submission of admission forms? A: Last date for issue and submission of admission form is 20th May Q: What is the date for Computer based entrance examination 2016? A: Date of Computer based Entrance Examination (AIST 2016) are 10th, 11th, & 12th June General information Q: What is the day schedule at FDDI? A: A typical day starts at am and goes on to 5.00 pm. There are two sessions in a day. First session starts from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, which includes a 15 minutes tea break. After 45 minutes lunch break second session starts from 01:30 pm to 05:00 pm, which also includes 15 minutes tea break. In case of more workload students may be required to stay late in the evening or come early in the morning to complete the course Q: What are the career prospects?
