Candidates are informed that the 1 st round of counseling session for admission to MBBS Course at JSS Medical College, Mysore, for the academic year is scheduled on The JSSU rank list is drawn based on the inter-se merit of NEET 2016 All India Overall rank from amongst the applications received by the University as on for admission to MBBS course. 3. The consolidated list of candidates rank wise who have applied to JSS University as on along with NEET 2016 rank is uploaded on the university website: 4. Candidates should satisfy the eligibility requirement as per NEET information brochure 2016 and minimum eligibility requirement as prescribed by the Medical Council of India regulations for admission to MBBS course. 5. 2 Counseling procedure and Instructions The Candidates are requested to report to the JSS Medical College, Mysore for counseling on the scheduled date along with the following Originals and with 3 sets of photocopies of the same: 1. NEET 2016 test admission ticket (TAT). 2. NEET 2016 Score and Rank card. (Downloaded copy from CBSC website) 3. Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/10 th Certificates) th / II PUC Marks card. 5. Six recent passport-size colour photographs with name and date. 6. Conduct/ Character certificate issued by the college last studied. 7. Transfer Certificate..(For Karnataka board candidates) 8. Migration Certificate. (Other than Karnataka education board candidate) 9. Physical fitness certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon. 10. An affidavit in the format signed by you and countersigned by your Parent/guardian in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper of Rs.50/-(minimum)-ANNEXURE-III of Information Brochure 11. Caste Certificate. (The certificate issued by competent authority) 12. PAN card copy of the parent. NOTE: If you do not report on the specified date and time, your application will be deemed cancelled without any further notice and you shall forfeit your claim for counselling and admission thereof. The Candidates shall attend the counseling in person for selection of seats. The option exercised by you with regard to admission at the time of counseling will be final. ONCE THE ADMISSION IS CONFIRMED, ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY WILL NOT BE RETURNED BACK TO THE CANDIDATE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. IF A CANDIDATE DESIRES TO HAVE THEIR ORIGINALS BACK FOR ANY REASON, THEY WILL HAVE TO FORFEIT THE ALLOTTED SEAT AS PER JSSU RULES AND POLICY AND SUCH CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBSEQUENT COUNSELING. The student who has appeared for the 1 st round of counselling only is permitted to appear for the subsequent counseling if any. The candidates who were allotted a seat in the 1st round of counseling and who have subsequently withdrawn / forfeited their seat are not eligible to attend the subsequent round of counseling. The admission shall be made based on the various notifications issued by MCI/Govt. of India/Govt. of Karnataka/Hon ble Supreme Court of India. 2

3 Annual Fee Structure: ** You will be required to pay the following fees for admission to MBBS course in the form of DD, if your admission is confirmed during the counseling session. College, Mysore ** The fees shall be as prescribed by the University from time to time. GUIDELINES FOR REFUND OF FEE The following guidelines are brought to the notice of the prospective students: 1. The student is required to submit all the original certificates and the requisite course fee to the University for the Confirmation of admission at the time of counseling. 2. If any student desires to surrender his / her seat before September 12 th 2016, he / she will be refunded the fees after deducting Rs. 10,000/- being the processing fees. 3. If any student desires to surrender his / her seat after September 12 th 2016, and on or before September 19 th 2016, he / she will be refunded the fees after deducting of the 10% of tuition fees paid by the student. 4. If any student surrenders his / her seat between September 24 th 2016 and on or before September 28th 2016, he/ she will have to forfeit the full fees for first year paid by him/her. However, the certificates surrendered by him / her would be returned. 5. Any surrender of seats after September 28th 2016, would involve the student having to pay the full course fee. 6. The refund will be subject to the encashment of Demand Draft submitted by the candidate. The above guidelines are final and no request to vary from the above guidelines will be entertained. 3

4 Counseling process: STEP 1: Registration and Identification: The candidates should register their names at entrance of the Counseling hall by producing the NEET 2016 Score/Rank card, Original TAT card and also mentioning their JSSU UG Medical rank in the merit list mentioned in the website. The student shall produce any one of the documents in original as ID proof (Passport copy, driving license, Aadhar Card or any other ID issued by state or Central Govt.) STEP 2: Verification of Original Certificates: 1. After completion of Registration and identity confirmation the candidate shall move to the allotted verification counter and produce all the original certificates, for verification by University officials. The original certificates will be retained within the University once the admission is confirmed. The candidates are advised to keep sufficient photocopies of their certificates before submitting them to the University. 2. No candidate will be allowed for counseling without original certificates. 3. The fees payable in the form of Demand Draft shall also be submitted. 4. On verification, if the documents are found to be not genuine, or the same are suspected to be falsified and if the admission committee is not satisfied about the genuineness of the documents submitted at the verification counter, such candidates shall be rejected. STEP 3: Selection of Seats After submission of original certificates, the candidates will be called for counseling and will be allowed for selection of seats in the order of their merit only. STEP 4: Issue of Allotment Letters: The selected candidates will be issued admission letter and the candidates are required to get admitted on or before the due date mentioned in the allotment letter, failing which the seat will automatically stand cancelled. 4

5 The issue of Allotment Letter by the JSS UNIVERSITY is provisional, which enables the candidate to join JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysore constituent college of JSS University and is subject to his/her meeting all the eligibility requirements as prescribed by MCI as well as JSS UNIVERSITY, Mysore, Karnataka. All the original documents will once again be verified at the college before final admission, besides photo and signature verification, if necessary Clarifications: Original certificates will not be returned to the students once admission is confirmed. However, suitable acknowledgement will be given to candidates of having submitted the certificates to the University The candidate will have to give a letter of undertaking before issue of the allotment letter with regard to refund of fees policy and other disciplinary guidelines of the University. STEP 5: Admission: The students would be advised to report to the Admission Officer at JSS Medical College, Mysore, where the certificates and other documents would have been duly forwarded by the University for completing the admission formalities including hostel accommodation, if desired. Those desirous of Hostel accommodation are required to bring Hostel fee in the form of DD. 6 Wait List: When all the seats in the said course are filled, candidates may choose to be waitlisted. Candidates, who opt to be waitlisted, need not pay any fee until they receive the intimation of selection from the University that they have been selected for admission from the waiting list as a consequence of withdrawal or cancellation of admission of any admitted candidate. The student who has appeared for the 1 st round of counseling only, is permitted to appear for the subsequent counseling if any. For the sake of administrative convenience candidates from JSSU UG Medical (MBBS) 2016 rank list are called for 1 st round of counseling. In the event of the seats remaining vacant, as may be notified on the website, the candidates from JSSU UG Medical (MBBS) 2016 ranks 301 onwards will be called during subsequent counseling. IF A CANDIDATE DESIRES TO HAVE THEIR ORIGINALS BACK FOR ANY REASON, THEY WILL HAVE TO FORFEIT THE ALLOTTED SEAT AS PER JSSU RULES AND POLICY AND SUCH CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBSEQUENT COUNSELING. Forfeiture of seats selected during counseling: The selected candidates would have deemed to have forfeited their seats if they do not report to the college on or before the scheduled date of admission. They will be eligible to apply to the University for refund of fees. A processing time of 15 days shall be allowed for the refund of fees and such fees will be refunded after deduction as per refund of fee guidelines given by the University separately. If you do not report on the specified date and time, your application will be deemed cancelled without any further notice and you shall forfeit your claim for counseling and admission thereof. The option exercised by you in regard to selection of the course of study at the time of counseling will be final.
