1 Office 365, Micrsft Dynamics CRM Online, Windws Intune, and EMS Digital Partner f Recrd FAQ June 2015 On March 2, 2015, Micrsft launched Digital Partner f Recrd (Digital POR) fr Office 365, Micrsft Dynamics CRM Online, Windws Intune, and Enterprise Mbility Suite (EMS). Digital POR replaces the frmer Online Services Advisr (OSA) frm Partner f Recrd prcess. This dcument prvides answers t frequently asked questins regarding Digital POR. Questin 1 What is Digital POR and why are we releasing this? Answer Digital POR is the autmated, nline capability t attach a partner t a custmer s Online Services subscriptin. This applies nly t Office 365, Micrsft Dynamics CRM Online, Windws Intune, and EMS. Digital POR benefits the custmer, the partner, and Micrsft: Custmer: Imprved supprt experience: The custmer will receive a better supprt experience with partner ability t manage utage ntificatins with Custmer. Rightsizing f licensing: Ability t fr partners t mnitr usage fr custmer and identify areas f pprtunity t help custmers ptimize their license mdel. Partner: Benefits frm Micrsft: Partner can access benefits frm Micrsft including incentives and credit tward clud cmpetency attainment. Increased service visibility: Get ntificatin f changes t the service (utages r supprt tickets raised). Rightsizing f licensing: Access t subscriptin management and custmer s perfrmance and usage data. Micrsft: Scalability: Nt using a manual, paper-based frm increases ur ability t scale the partner ecsystem. Faster data cnnectins: Instant assciatin f Partner A with Custmer B. Custmer benefits: Faster custmer respnse. 2 What actins will the partners need t take? 1. Beginning March 2, 2015, Partners can attach as Digital POR t existing subscriptins. Partners shuld wrk with their current

2 custmers t attach them as their Digital POR fr each subscriptin they actively manage. 2. Use Digital POR t attach t new subscriptins: Fr new EA/CASA deals, switch t the Digital POR attach methd by April 30, 2015, when the OSA frm methd will be turned ff and the OSA frm remved frm MPN. 3. Learn mre and ask questins: Read the blg pst here fr an indepth explanatin f hw this impacts MPN cmpetencies, custmer reprting, and Partner incentives. 3 Hw can a partner identify the persn within their custmer s rganizatin that can add them as a Digital POR? The glbal administratr and billing administratr are the nly rles that can add a partner as a Digital POR. If the custmer des nt knw wh this is, then they shuld cntact Supprt frm the admin prtal t find ut. 4 Hw will cmpetency change? MPN will use the Digital POR data t calculate the sales gals requirements needed fr Silver r Gld cmpetencies. Partner attachments via OSA frm will be cunted tward the sales gal requirements until January 1, 2016, r until a Digital POR is attached t the custmer subscriptin. 5 What will the Online dashbard lk like? 6 Hw will we recgnize and pay ut incentives? Starting July 9, 2015, partners will be able t view their custmers Office 365 and Azure Active Usage data frm the Online Services Dashbard, allwing them t help their custmers better understand their utilizatin and right-size their licenses. Micrsft will be using the Digital POR t identify which partner earns incentives. As a Digital Partner f Recrd becmes assigned t a custmer s subscriptin, the Online Services Advisr Deply incentive will be rewarded t that Partner f Recrd, fr that Custmer s subscriptin. The partner attached via the OSA frm will cntinue t earn incentives until a partner attaches via the Digital POR prcess. When the FY16 Online Services Usage incentive launches n Octber 1, 2015, this incentive will be based n the Digital POR prcess. 7 If a partner is the OSA POR n an Office 365 subscriptin and anther partner attaches as Digital POR fr that subscriptin befre I d, will the first partner still earn incentives? 8 If a partner is the OSA POR n an Office 365 subscriptin and anther partner attaches as Digital POR fr the custmer s Intune subscriptin, will the first partner still earn incentives? N. If the Digital POR passes Prf f Executin (POE), that digital partner will earn incentives fr the subscriptin. If the Digital POR des nt pass POE, n partner will earn incentives fr the subscriptin. If the first partner is actively managing the subscriptin and the custmer adds them as Digital POR, the first partner culd then becme eligible t earn incentives fr that subscriptin. Yes. The first partner will still earn incentives fr the Office 365 subscriptin unless a Digital POR is attached t that subscriptin.

3 9 What will happen if a partner sends in an OSA frm fr a custmer subscriptin that already has a Digital POR attached? 10 What des this change mean fr the Active Usage incentives transitin the Partner Incentives team talked abut at WPC? The partner will receive a ntificatin frm the Online Partner Operatins Supprt team that the OSA frm has been rejected because a Digital Partner f Recrd is already attached t the subscriptin. This ntificatin will include a link t the blg pst and deck detailing the transitin. Digital POR des nt change the incentive t Active Usage it is still calculated n Assigned Seats. Hwever, this change des enable us t make that change in the future. That future date will be in Octber 2015 r later. 11 What Online Services prducts and licensing mdels can use DPOR? 12 Will the partner be tld if they are remved as Partner f Recrd? 13 Will partners be asked fr POE if they are attached as Digital POR? DPOR is available fr Office 365, Micrsft Dynamics CRM Online, Windws Intune and EMS subscriptins. This capability will be als available fr Azure subscriptins in August Yes, we will ntify the partner that a new Digital POR has been identified fr the subscriptin. POE will be requested unless the Digital POR is the same as the OSA POR fr that subscriptin and service. If a partner already prvided POE fr a service, we will nt request it again fr the same service t the same Partner and custmer. In all ther cases, the Digital POR will be asked fr POE. 14 Hw is POE determined at the subscriptin level? 15 If a new Digital POR is attached, when des that partner start earning incentives? 16 Are partners credited fr the seats they deply after they attach as Digital POR, r will they receive credit fr all seats deplyed fr that custmer t date? 17 Des attaching as a Digital POR reset the incentives max cap f $100K/year? 18 Fr new partners taking ver, wuld negative seat cunts be We wuld ask fr the same POE as we have tday which is determined at the service level. Hwever, the subscriptin is specific t a prduct and the POE prvided must apply t that prduct. In ther wrds, they shuld nt prvide POE fr an Intune service fr the custmer if they are attached and requested POE fr the Office 365 subscriptin. They will nt be apprved t earn Advisr Deply incentives fr the Office 365 subscriptin. The POR as f the 25 th f each mnth will earn the incentive fr that mnth. This is unchanged frm the current prcess, where the OSA POR as f the 25 th f each mnth will earn the incentive fr that mnth. Partners will be credited fr ALL seats where they have a POR attached, including Digital POR. Yes. This wrks in the same methd as the POR reset fr max cap tday; there is n change t this plicy. Fr subscriptins, the maximum assigned, active seats all carry ver. Fr example, subscriptin A has 1,000 as prir maximum, 1,100 as

A Partner can resubmit their POE and request anther review. If that happens the Partner shuld resend the POE t the same alias/requestr that requested POE in the first attempt. Fr any subscriptin that has a Digital POR attached, we will use the Digital POR. If the subscriptin has n POR attached, but an OSA frm prvides the POR, we will use the POR frm the OSA frm. The Digital POR n a subscriptin will take precedence ver the OSA POR. We ll share the fllwing data n yur custmer in the dashbard nce yu becme the Partner f Recrd: Custmer ID and custmer name Custmer s Azure cnsumptin data which may include inf such as: Subscriptin ID, Name and key subscriptin attributes such as subscriptin start date, end date, etc. Cnsumptin dllar amunt n a mnthly basis Partner f Recrd assciatin and disassciatin date Custmers seat utilizatin which may include: Subscriptin ID, Name and key subscriptin attributes such as subscriptin start date, end date etc. Seat utilizatin details such as seats sld and seats deplyed Office 365 Active Use data: Attributes such as qualified entitlements and unique active users 24 My custmer is cncerned that adding me as DPOR will give them access t their rganizatins inf r persnal Attaching a partner as yur Digital Partner f Recrd (DPOR) fr any f Micrsft Clud prducts prvides an assciatin f yur clud subscriptin t the partner using the partner s Micrsft Partner Netwrk ID (MPNID). This allws yur partner t view
